About

It's spring fair time and The Great Cow Race is about to begin! Play carnival games. Write love poetry. Outsmart a really big bee. Cheat the locals out of their hard-earned eggs. Bang on some pots and pans. Escape from an angry mob. Oh, and dress up like a cow. (Not necessarily in that order.)

Bone: The Great Cow Race reviews and comments

Bone: The Great Cow Race is a 3D adventure to Jeff Smith's Comics (as I've found out by now). And Part 2 of the Game series. In Addition, I now know that the game is the Game of 2006 and I can therefore explain the now clearly dusty graphics Engine in terms of Optics and Resolution. That being said, this is an Adventure that only takes Place in Basic Features such as a Point 'n Click Adventure, the Game Focuses more on problem solving through Communication and not through constant Discovery, Combining and applying Items. Numerous Small "Mini-games" have been integrated for this purpose. One probably wanted to complement the Genre of Adventure with Elements of the Jump 'n Run. In the End, the Game and the Commentary on a Comic-based basis seem like a Game that is more intended for Children. For Fans of the Comics certainly interesting, unfortunately the Game could not captivate me. The Game Series was discontinued after Part 2. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m6kobmSU2A8

The Game is rather bad. This Game is the second and, presumably unintentionally, final Installment in the Bone series, which began with Bone: Out of Boneville. The Comparison with its Predecessor is positive, especially in terms of Gameplay. Overall, though, it's still too little to really delight. http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1256063237 The Story consists essentially only of a Horse Race on the occasion of a Funfair in Barrel Haven And Like the three Cousins, Fone, Phoney and Smiley, with slightly different Want to be involved in the Objectives. I didn't think it was really great, everyone is much too underexposed to do so. On its own, a Grandmother and a Cow runs a Disguise In a Cow Race (as a cow?) is Nonsense. http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1256068767 Strange, the episodic view of a mysterious Stranger and the Giant rat Helping him appears. The Conclusion of the Game suggests that more Clarity should be brought in in another Episode, but this never happened. The Gameplay has improved significantly. It's less child-shallow. To solve the Tasks, they need to work together in part. You can switch between them, but only ever control one of them. The Puzzles are much more demanding, also that you can even think about how things could go on. Often it comes down to steering the Dialogues in the right Direction, often you have to try quite unusual Things. http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1256064373 The Graphics, Sound and Control are practically the same as Part 1. The Game time is probably about 3h (I knew most of the Puzzles from before, so it can take longer) noticeably longer. I had no technical Difficulty playing the Game on Windows 10. But At least once I have experienced that if you want to use an Object (the Helmet) in the wrong Place, you can steer the game into a Dead end. Pro & Contra: + Ordinary Point & Click Fare o Only English o Just English o Something strange But reasonably coherent story-To underexpose (stupid) villagers-Cliffhanger at the End (but there is no Sequel) Rating: 4/10 The Game is significantly better than Part 1 of the Bone miniseries, but still weird. The sometimes somewhat tricky Puzzles can distract from this.
