Alan Wake's American Nightmare is a third-person shooter game, a follow-up to 2010 Remedy Entertainment title Alan Wake. However, it is not a full-fledged sequel to the game but rather a spin-off. The game’s tone and style are much more light-hearted and comedic than in the original, and the color palette is significantly brighter.
The game’s story takes place two years after the original game in a fictional town Night Springs, Arizona. The series protagonist, Alan Wake, must defeat his dark doppelganger, Mr. Scratch to escape the Dark Place. American Nightmare’s gameplay is very similar to that of the original game; however, this time it is much more action-oriented, rather than story-driven. Its combat is centered around the same chief combat mechanic – focusing the flashlight on enemies on making them vulnerable to weapon.

Alan Wake's American Nightmare reviews and comments

I really like the right Alan Wake. The Story was exciting and the Gameplay was quite fun. I would have been only too happy to take an Alan Wake 2. Alan Wale AM I had been going for a long time. I knew it was just a rather small Game. Just then the spun off and I say: The Game could have been saved because It just doesn't bring any added value. And as someone who likes Alan Wake very much I feel this as rather well ... The same Mission is constantly running rather little Story and again and again the 3 same areas. Not so mine but for couple e in the Sale you can take a look at it. Verdict: Finally gives us an Alan Wake 2!

American Nightmare is weird ... It is strange that it is going to be very good. Basically, it's a completely different Game to Alan Wake and also has little to do with the previous one, but playing is just the same. It is quite interesting because the same Scenariums are always different. The Focus is this time more on Action and Horror has been 90% removed. Graphics and Sound have remained more or less unchanged compared to Alan Wake. A Survival mode has been added that is fun for 1 or 2 rounds but gets boring very quickly. Also an Arcade Fashion that, in my Opinion, does not belong in an Alan Wake. All in all is ne 5/10 who can get it any like in a Alan Wake package should fetch it but would buy it not.

Alan Wake's American Nightmare is a very nice Addition to the original Game! In terms of Storytelling, you need to know the original Game, but it's also enough if you know the Outlines, because it's relatively easy to understand. I didn't play Alan Wake 1 myself, but I know the Story in places from YouTube videos and in Alan Wake's American Nightmare I found myself very quickly! Although the Game Time is almost 2 to 3 Hours, I think it's very nicely done (Garfik as well as the Gameplay). In Places, it's already pretty tricky. Even at Difficulty Level 1 I am often frightened, or was transported by the Besseses to the Afterlife. In general, I think Alan Wake's American Nightmare does NOT get to Alan Wake 1, but I think it's a very nice Extension! The fact that there is a lot of Work in this Enlargement is that you realise, I think, very much. Verdict: Buy Recommendation with 8/10 Points

This Game initially offers a rather creepy Atmosphere but that leaves with the Time after that one already knows most Opponent Types and you have to repeat the Missions after a Time because it is not enough to defeat the big end boss. By The way, it has a mediocre interesting Story, which should be made known by the lack of Ammunition heavier and creepy, but it is only casual because the Ammunition is also very quickly worn. Graphically, it is no longer on all the highest Niveu, but is still so good that one can speak of an Acceptance look. The Story is in my Opinion weak and hollow told and as a result you quickly lose the desire to play and get it back very slowly to not at all. In short, the Game is not worth Buying a tea, but if you are a horror fan and find this Game at a reasonable Price you can try it out.
It's a spin-off from original Alan Wake game (which is exceptionally good thriller even after all these years) and as such it's more action focused, simpler, and more straightforward. More like an arcade version of Alan Wakes universe. It's fairly short and yet it shows and tells more than one could expect. Remedy (as it's usual) won't stop surprising with a good narrative, as well as deep knowledge in the construction of worlds, heavily inspired by American culture. By that, I mean fancy cars, drive-in theaters, oil wells, and psychos. Everything is as perfect as it was in those short thrillers and horror tales I used to grow up with. Aside from this, Alan Wake takes another look at the idea of multidimensional realities, this could blow our minds a few years ago, but it's getting even better when we're almost convinced that reality could be simulated, just not entirely sure what could be the purpose of it. Or... We could take it as a session with a life coach and try to understand how we could change the reality we live in :D.
«Blew my mind»
I am under big impress, how bad was this game compared to the first game.
