About

Direct sequel in story, genre and art style, Broken Sword 2 – the Smoking Mirror: Remastered is a remake of 2010 release that takes place 6 months after the events of the first game, where George Stobbart and Nicole Collard visit an archeologist to gather information on the mystery Mayan stone Nicole found while working on a news story. But they’re ambushed and separated, and now George has to escape the burning building, reunite with Nicole and uncover the secrets of a Mayan stone, leading to a lost temple.
The game is played like any other point-and-click adventure, where the player controls the characters and interacts with the environments through the mouse clicks, or in case of a PlayStation release through the controller. The game has over 60 characters player can interact with unique voice lines regarding every game item players can get in their inventory. Remastered edition replaced pixelated backgrounds with more detailed ones, fixed the quality of FMV’s and general audio and added fully animated facial features.

Broken Sword 2 - The Smoking Mirror (Remastered) reviews and comments

Again, it's as hard for me as I did the first Part to give a negative Review: I love the Game but the "remastered" Version is a bad Joke. While in the first Part one at least made the Effort and to incorporate a small extra story about Nico and her Father is the only remastered of "The Smoking Mirror" that one has installed pictures of the Protagonists with whom one speaks ... Some of these don't even really fit the Characters, but everyone probably has their own Opinion ... For the remastered version you get the Original Version free of charge, in this respect this may be considered "soothing"-all in all, "BS-2 remastered" is unfortunately only complete Rip-off ... But One can look forward to a Comic that sheds light on the Prehistory between Nico and Karzac-tjo, if you had also woven it into play as in Part 1 then I might have been able to rate the Game even positively ... So the Conclusion simply remains: Money thrown out. Because I still have the Original Version in my Collection-and I barely Felt like I was playing a different Version right now

Broken Sword 2 - The Smoking Mirror throws in George and Nico from Broken Sword - The Shadow of the Templars in a new venture. Playfully, the game is very similar to its freckler, which I absolutely cannot complain about, given that the freeman is one of the very best venture games of all time. I have to pay tribute to the rstsked players, the problems, the atmosphere and the action. The game runs smoothly and is adapted for IPhone, venture games are as good as made for playing on the touch screen. More IPhone game tips can be read at bordet.nu

ENGLISH: After having played the must-buy adventure game Broken Sword (Shadow of the Templars), there was no question buying this second installment in the series. However the game is still amazing, there are some minor flaws compared to the first game. First of all the voice acting is less good because some characters (Nico, Lobineau) have been replaced by other actors which aren't nearly as good as the original. Second you need to play the game with earplugs in (on iPad 4.2), since the normal speakers don't work. Last complaint is that the story doesn't have the impact from the first game. Overall still one of the best adventure games in the App Store, but not as polished as the first game.
