About

Command & Conquer Red Alert 3 is a real-time strategy game set during an alternate scenario of World War II. In the game the United States confronted the USSR. To provide their victory, the Soviets went back in time and changed the future. As a result, the third power appears - the Empire of the Rising Sun, and all three forces get involved in a new war. All factions in the game are playable and provide different playstyles. While the Soviet army is suitable for a fast-paced expansion, the Japanese side focuses on technological progress. The US keep the medium position.

In Red Alert 3 you need to build a base and develop technology to create weapons. The main difference from other RTS is that the campaign in the game is fully cooperative, played either with a friend online or with an AI teammate. The game also features Naval Warfare mode with facilities built on water and various marine units. Additionally, each country has 15 unique abilities to use during battles.

Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3 reviews and comments

8.0/10
«Can’t stop playing»
«Better with friends»
Tries to recapture the campy charm of Red Alert 2, which it mostly does, but falls short in a variety of areas. Still a good RTS with plenty of imaginative units and gameplay concepts. Definitely worth a play if you want to see an RTS that's a bit... different.

Protective Coastlines? No more here. I've always been fond of the Command & Conquer franchise. This Game definitely contributes to this. Even if I'm not that strategy pro. Command & Conquer has always Enjoyed me and so here. The biggest Innovation is probably that you can now also build on the Water. Constants, however, have also remained, such as the 3 Factions introduced in Principle with Generals. In the alert Level Red-Universe, the rising Sun now also comes with the already known Allies and Soviets. Each Faction also plays differently. The latest Experiment is that the rising Sun almost builds vehicles, which then convert into Buildings. Something like that is only available in the other Factions as MBF. Story-wise ... Well... We travel through time again. And this time we kill Einstein before he can travel back in time to thwart the Attack from the second Part, where time Travel was a Matter ... So... In Principle, we are in a huge Time Warp, which has now become quite opaque. Nevertheless, we remain true to the Roots here as well and tell the Story in Cutscenes with real Actors. Command & Conquer is also just like its Predecessors, with only one Special Feature that I enjoyed a lot. You can play the Campaign in The Coop with another General! 2 Players in the Main Story! This Innovation is perfect! Everyone has different Tasks and Bases. Sometimes only one Player has a powerful Unit, while the other Player protects it. The Team game demands agreement, of course, but that's the great thing about the Team game. Especially when you put your Heads together on a new Mission to work out a real Tactic. In addition to the Campaign, you can also play as always on Skirmish cards against or with one or more Opponents. Graphically, the Game can also be seen. Grade the Water, which is an important Element in the Game, looks very nice, but also the Animations, as well as the Textures look good. Grade if you want to use a Super Weapon, you should enjoy the Moment when the Opponent allows that. There is nothing wrong with sound technology either. Command & Conquer has always been known for the cool Soundtrack and that doesn't change either. Synchronization has also succeeded. So all in All, the Overall Package has succeeded once again. If you like Command & Conquer, you can easily access it here. If you like Strategy in general, you will also like it. If you are looking for a hardcore Micro-management strategy game, you should not necessarily do the rather simple technology structure of Command & Conquer. The Game is definitely worth the Prize.
