Drifter (itch) (theEarthWasBlue)

Trapped in a strange dimension with no fuel. Your engine might not work, but your guns definitely do.

Made for the GMTK 2020 game jam, under the theme "Out of Control". Drifter is a bullet hell where you cannot directly move your ship: instead, you must rely on the recoil from your weapons, the the force of your grappling hook, and other environmental hazards to push yourself around.

CONTROLS

Mouse 1 : shoot autocannon, hold to charge. Charged shots penetrate enemies.

Mouse 2 : grapple onto powerups, and pull

W  or Mouse 4 : shoot rocket

ESC : pause

LEGEND

red / blue / yellow powerups : rocket ammo, health, and turbo

Checkered towers: explode on contact. damages enemies but not yourself.
