About

Syberia is an adventure game where a twisted story is combined with puzzle solving and a graphical quest’s elements. You take on the role of Kate Walker, who has to travel over half of Europe to fix her business issues. However, her adventure appears to be exciting and surreal, and, actually, life-changing. Searching for a man to sell her a toy factory, Kate becomes involved in a fantastic journey that leads her to the land of Syberia where mammoths are still alive.
The main gameplay activity is classical for point-and-click quests and for the most part is solving numerous complicated puzzles that are tightly connected with the plot development and extend and deepen the story. Huge locations may contain dozens of puzzles, so finding all clues will make you explore every corner of every place. Puzzles often feature work with details from mechanisms and odd inventions. The gameplay supports the surreal atmosphere of the game which twists the reality with human dreams and hopes.
Syberia is followed by two sequels, Syberia II and Syberia 3, that continue the adventures of Kate Walker.

Syberia reviews and comments

Annoying but a good experience... This is a perfectly normal game not good not bad. Also the game is split into two halves. The one you're seeing in trailer and the other you'll explore while playing. game seriously lacks logic and sense.  On point maybe you'll get off the game but if you continue you'll be in for a treat.
Reminded me a bit of old Lara Croft, but all puzzle and no action... just the way I like it!

Too bad there are no neutral Reviews at Steam. I didn't like a lot in this Game and I thought for a long time whether for me the positive points or the negative Points outweigh them. However, a negative Review would not be justified, as I enjoyed the game (mostly anyway) and the Curiosity about the End of this Story would continue to play again and again. Cons:-Due to a Story-related Number of long, too many, wide walkways through mostly (Almost) deserted places-occasionally the Story "hung" and Could only be continued by repeated Dialogue Scenes (and Walkways) several times (was perhaps in Bug – no Idea, bin glad I'm there)-Repeated "I don't have to go there" (either way) for any locked Door or Area that wasn't accessible to the Character-occasional, minor Graphics Errors that didn't hinder the flow of the Game Though-deficient ones Settings (Options) in the Game Leave much to be desired, E.g. graphics solution, full screen mode ja/no-No Quick Storage, no Autosave-Screenshots via key F12 were not possible Positive: + Very beautiful, partly atmospheric Images and Film Sequences + interesting, bizarre, imaginative "Adult" story, interesting Character + Tension builds slowly, makes Curiosity about the End of the Story + the Puzzles are sometimes already quite challenging but usually somehow solvable, for a few But did I need Help (Walkthrough) + The individual Film sequences found in the Game are available via the Menu and can be viewed again and again + Own Scores can be stored and loaded Via the Menu Conclusion: The Pace of the game of "Syberia" is very Slowly, the Story a bit long-winded – but that changes towards the End of the Game. It's just like reading a good Book. The Story is slowly building. With each Dialogue, with each new Discovery, you work your way further into the Story and become more and more curious about how it goes on. The End came unexpectedly quickly, because I would have liked to have had such a small, beautiful Film Sequence at the End. Do I recommend the Game further? Well, only to a limited extent ... Those who like Point & Click Games for whom "Syberia" might be something, but possibly not. I would imagine there are People who would be bored of this Game. For the negative reviews here at Steam I am quite Sympathetic and can partly understand the Reasons. I bought the Game in the Sale and for me the price/performance ratio was also right for money. If you're interested in the Game, it's Best to buy in the Bundle with the second Part, because "Syberia 2" isn't just another Story with the same Characters, but the Sequel to the first Part. If you don't play that, the game ends up virtually "unfinished" for whom the Game ends.

.... makes a total of 3 stars. Backgrounds, characters, locations, everything graphics is worth 4 or even 5 stars. Unfortunately, the riddles are not very demanding and can not compete with other similar games. Thus, a price / performance ratio is not given depending on the offer ...

Really beautifull game. I think a lot of people delete this game, they can't get any further because of the top left corner. There is supposed to be another option behind it, but we can't click it ---- A very nice game. I think that many people do not get any further because there is a button behind the advertisement that we cannot click on.

An engaging, beautiful game, the graphics, how they speak, the wide range of choices ... Everything beautiful. Really . For this an exciting demo and you crafty you forced me to buy it, I recommend you take that for one euro and ninety-nine. Thanks microids. You could put it free for halloween! at least for halloween. Or for Christmas. I wait .

The game itself is always excellent! But feels more the portage for the money than to make discover this wonder a new generation of players ... Menus should have been reworked a little to find their beauty, the image is low resolution and the animation of the characters is from time to time. Go, a little effort to put this amazing game in value!

To confess everything, I did. Two years ago, I searched on the Syberia store with a faint hope that a portage had been made. I remembered the experience last week and what an immense pleasure I had when I saw that my dream had become reality! This game has rocked my childhood so much that my brother and I continue to use some replicas of the game. The portage is well done, I am delighted to reconnect with this fabulous adventure. The fact that all clues appear is not awesome and a little easier gameplay. The movements are a little long sometimes but to wander in these sumptuous scenery is a pleasure. Thank you Benoit Sokal and your team for adapting Syberia on mobile. It's a rule. I run to do the second part and to fter I even bought the third part that I do not know yet.
This is what Lara Croft: The Quest would look like if it was ever a thing. On a serious note though. You should skip it, unless you are a hardcore quest fun. The game was beautiful when it came out, but it didn't hold up. Also, the ending is questionable.
Better stick to Monkey Island
