Transference reviews and comments

Well it's a short and okayish walking simulator with not bad story, nice visuals. Nothing really special, but also good 1-2 hours spent. I also really wonder why I missed so much recordings...

Transference by Ubisoft is a psychological thriller and Adventure Game and graphic Treat. One is initially in the Role of Raymond Hayes, a Scientist who believes he has found a Way to expand humanity's Life by transferring its Consciousness into a Kind of Virtual World ... For Reasons, he unfortunately chose his own Family as Test subjects, which of course, as one might imagine, led to all sorts of Problems. Throughout history, however, one also switches to the Point of view of the other Family members, the young Son and the Woman who lead through this spooky story. Transference starts on the Street in front of the Hayes Apartment Building, but there's something wrong with the Environment, a Kind of digital Noise effect, like an Error in the Matrix overlays the Boundaries of the Scene that lies in ominous Darkness. There is no other Way than into the Building. The front Door is, of course, closed ... The Controls are simple, you move with the left Thumbstick and rotate with the right. You can Also duck with The help of the right Thumbstick. There is also the Possibility to adjust the Control to the personal Taste. Sometimes it happens when you turn or move unintentionally. Interaction Options with the Environment are displayed by in a small Icon and triggered with the Trigger. In order to advance in the History of Trancference, you have to solve various Puzzles. Often you have to travel through different Time Levels to find Passwords to open Locked doors or use Devices. Although it's often not entirely clear where to go next, or what to do. It happens that you often walk around in Circles trying to figure out what the Hell to do next. However, Transference offers a Lot of creepy Atmosphere and does not save with Graphic Effects. The excellent Graphic helps breathe Life into history. The increasingly confusing Story of the Hayes family is often told after Solving a Puzzle with videos Woven into the Scenes. Clearly, what ultimately moved Raymond to lock his own family into his digital World has not become to me so far. Transference wants to blur the Lines between Play and Film with this surreal Kind of narrative. That could also be the Reason for the relatively short Length of the Game, compared to a Feature Film. Nevertheless, Transference makes a very good Impression. The Graphics are very detailed and realistic, the Controls are simple and clear. The Story is somewhat confused, although completely told in German, but does make some Goosebumps. A Game for Psychothrillers puzzle friends.
