About

Red-haired adventurer extraordinaire Adol Christin has finally reunited with his best pal, Dogi, and is eager to set sail for new adventures in Afroca. It seems fate has other plans for him, however, as a pirate captain named Ladoc makes him an offer he simply can't refuse: a chance to explore a dangerous, uncharted archipelago in the Atlas Ocean that may hold treasures of heretofore unseen value.
Never ones to back away from a good mystery, Adol and Dogi both agree to join Ladoc on this expedition aboard his ship, the “Tres Mares” -- but no sooner does it weigh anchor than the Romuns, their sights set on the same curious islands of Canaan, attack the wayward pirates and ultimately knock Adol overboard, leaving him for dead.
Some time later, he washes ashore in Canaan itself, alive but weakened, rescued and resuscitated by two young girls named Isha and Olha who sport long ears and bushy tails. They are of the native “Rehda” tribe, and it seems Adol is not the first human to arrive here -- nor are humans particularly welcome...

Ys VI: The Ark of Napishtim reviews and comments

Not as good as the PS2 version, but still a great Classic of the Ys series Even if Ys VI: The Ark of Napishtim certainly doesn't represent the Nonplusultra Audiovisual, the Gameplay is beyond reproach. As is often the case, it is the slightly simpler Games that bring The most fun to play. Anyone who mourns the old action RPG of The 90s afterwards, who have placed more Emphasis on gameplay than on a highly bred Graphic, is just the right to Be lifted at Ys. For me, the Title at the time at THE PS2 was a very big Insider tip and aroused in me the Desire to get to know more Offshoots of the Series. Thanks to Steam, this Wish came true years later. Ironically, however, due to a lack of Content, the PC download version does not approach Konami'S PS2 version. Falcom probably couldn't or wouldn't afford to buy the additional Content from Konami. Accordingly, I would rather recommend the PS2 version. However, If this is not an Option, you can also buy the weaker PC download version, because Ys VI: The Ark of Napishtim will probably always remain one of the best Parts of the Series for me. PC download version vs. PS2 version: As I said, in the Direct Comparison between PS2 and PC download version, I would clearly advise on the PS2 version. To Justify this, the punctual Advantages of the respective Version in comparison: PS2 version:-offers an additional bonus dungeon divided into three Sections-the Intro and some other Cutscenes have been converted into 3D rendering videos. Although These do not fit the other Anime/Manga flair, they are still chic to look at and fulfil the narrative purpose, in Contrast to the ORIGINAL Intro-the original Intro Is nevertheless included in the PS2 version and can be viewed via cheat menu- Apropos cheat menu: In the PS2 version, you can do all sorts of great Things as long as you pick the Codes from the Internet. The PC version does not offer Cheats. -there is a English Voiceover. This is cheesy but Still better than none at all (Tip: The Japanese Voiceover should also be activated by cheat)-there are German Screen texts PC download version:-there is a new "Catastrophe Mode," which uses the Heilitems on the Standard of Ys: Convert The Oath to Felghana and Ys Origin-there is an extensive teleportation system in this Version (but can also be abused to escape from brittle situations)-Achievements and Trading Cards-Leaderboards for the Time Attack Mode Neutral:-The Character Models in the PS2 version are animated in 3D and more elaborate, making them more integrated into the other 3D graphics of the Game. However, the 3D character models somewhat miss the well-known SD charm of the PC version's 2D character models. In addition, the 2D models better match the general Graphics style Of the other Ys games The full Review: http://www.gamecontrast.de/ys-vi-the-ark-of-napishtim-review/#more-70493
