Foul Play reviews and comments

Foul play, a game with an adventure side, action and humorous, with scenes that we did not expect the Coop is a real moment of laughter, but of challenge, try to play coordinate it is not easy either, it will be more: the one who will have the most POI the other, etc. but this game has its good and bad points good points: action in 2D masterful of humor challenge humorous dialogue of the challenge (keep the audience cheerful etc.) Challenges for every act and every SCENE. Possibility of Coop bad points: because of the 2D, it is very hard to know where the enemy is because of the depth of field! Complicated co-op synchronization. Despite this, it remains a good game, I recommend it, the solo as the cooperation (I recommend more the Coop):)

Foul play is a relatively beautiful hack and slash with simple Disign. Let's see the for:-Disign very classy cartoon; -French translation that does not sting your eyes; -Respects and exploits the theatrical environment well staged; -Combat neither too easy nor too difficult; -a nice story, with one, let's say, relatively good plot (beware of the page you recover over the course of the game, it little helped to understand better); -Charismatic character. And cons:-far too short! one afternoon to make the main story is a day and a half Grand Max to finish at 100%!; -Objects are unblockable but does not change much in the game; -Small damage to an online mode and an arcade mode can be? Short foul play is dynamic, colorful and addictive. It could be noted 8/10. If you like the good hack and slash's take it!

MODIFIED lines I bought this game during the last sale, the idea of a beat'em all in a play intrigued me. The universe, the humor and the graphics are very successful points. Then comes the gameplay. My God, it's repetitive! After 2.5 hours of play I have the sensation of having seen everything: low blow, strong blow, Parry, Dodge. There are, admittedly, some sympathetic combos, but the resemblance of the enemies to the attack level only increases the repeatability. I was also able to test it with a friend and, being two players getting bored fast games, we found it really fun for an hour, then we got very quickly bored, even if the side "who will be the best actor" is cool. In solo, the game is very redundant, and it's very unfortunate. If we also add the fact that the enemies are long to kill, we are given a weariness and a feeling of helplessness. However, I advise it because it is full of good ideas, like making combos to stay alive. It is a very good indie game, and it would be a pity that it is not seen by more players. 14/20
Foul Play is a beat em up with a bit shallow mechanics, where all the gameplay is based on building combos, but that combo building mostly ends up by mashing a button or two with some variations. What saves this game is its presentation. All the game takes place in a theater where you act in a play for the audience. Even your health is based on how well you play and if you take too much damage the crowd starts booing you and you lose. Enemies are people in decorations, all backgrounds are cut out cardboard and so on. It's something new and at the same time it's appealing to the eye and keeps you interested to see what's next.

BEWARE. If you are Playstation user in Europe (USA region version works fine) and plan to play this Co-Op, do not purchase this game. EU version has a nasty bug where coop doesn't work at all. The developers don't give a flying **** about it, be aware.  As I purchased it as a coop game, for this reason I can't get a higher rating then Meh.
