About

Nova-111 is an action-adventure turn-based game developed by Funktronic Labs. The project was sponsored by the Indie Fund.

Plot

In a distant future, there was a team of brilliant scientists who were living in a turn-based world. They wanted to expand their research in the field of chronology and have developed a device, that would unlock the mysterious real-time to them. At first, everything seemed fine, and the experiment worked flawlessly. However, something goes wrong, and both the turn-based and real-time worlds get mashed together. You are a pilot of Nova-111 a search and rescue ship.

Gameplay

Nova-111 fuses a turn-based game model with real-time combat. The players explore the world that was inspired by the 60s sci-fi novels in search for the lost scientists. It is necessary to solve puzzles and face the newly created creatures in a completely new world.

The players are free to upgrade their ship however they like. It is possible to upgrade the ship's health, fuel capacity, its weaponry, and speed. The ship's ability modules are also scattered across the open-ended levels leaving them for the most curious players to find.

A dynamic soundtrack system is present in the game, which allows for the most exciting combat situations and fits the player's play style perfectly.

Nova-111 reviews and comments

Only solo, Nova-111 is rather original and difficult to classify: between the plateformer and the puzzle-game turn-by-turn (with some actions in real time). Super exotic and nice graphic style, the game is nice to change ideas and get out of the usual standards. For faults:-the lifespan is a little short: about 10h and no replayability, I also do not see why this game is classified in the rogue-like! -We would have liked more varied decorations (just 3). For the price, it's more than honest!

Excellent little casual puzzle game that mixes real-time and turn-by-turn. Although it is not a Roguelike, it reminds me a lot crypt of the NecroDancer but without the difficulty, the rhythmic or random aspect. Brilliant levels designs where each mechanics is introduced sequentially without ever seeming complex or slowing down the initial rhythm of the game. I would have liked a little more history possibly, but for what really matters: gameplay, exploration and level design, concrete. Note however that the game took me 3h to complete, so it's up to you to decide what price to jump on!

Very dull game. Forced myself to pass it. Physically and psychologically. The Main reason for despondency is the gameplay. Crossed the top-down step-by-turn and the real-time puzzle made some uncertain mass. And It is not in vain in this game partner-talker jokes about cucumbers and diarrhea. It's just about this game. The Idea is good. The Plot here is almost about as in "Quantum Break". That is about the broken time as a result of the experiment. When zones began to appear without time. Would be a game short and a bit more varied, it was possible to put 6.5 points. And so it's only 5/10. P.S. the Review is rather neutral. But since it's not like a Movie Search, it is. You can Play but the buzz will be a bit.

Nova-111 brings you to save a whole crew of scientists scattered on a planet as they conduct experiments on a planet, scientists make a mistake and find themselves all in danger. Your ship even takes a hell of a shot. Save them. Save them all and save the world as long as you are there! I really like Nova-111 as a game, but I can't classify it at all. I talk about it as a game of action but it is not at all that. It's not an adventure game or a strategy game as well. Maybe an arcade game, Yes, the arcade is what brings the most of Nova-111. The graphics are well done, the difficulty is gradual enough and even if the translation leaves a little to be desired, it is an excellent game. http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=514355248 to discover all my impressions on Nova-111.
