When you hear the Word "slow," you think of a Snail or a Turtle.
I've been thinking about this Game recently.
On the Plot: First of all, the Warning that someone who still wants to play "Stranded" (why) will get the entire Action poached here. It really doesn't happen much.
One stranded with his Spaceship on a Planet. Awakening from the Cryo Pod, you first go to explore and carthograph the alien planet. Temples that open to the Astronaut, large stone giants and a large Atrium with very special Floor Tiles are found.
Then you go back into your Spaceship and go on into the Night.
The same as just described is done at Night, only that this time the Temples inside begin to glow and the Entrance to the Atrium Is blocked.
Then you go back to the Spaceship and start a new Day. The Spacecraft loses fuel to The Oxygen supply, which should last for 151 Days at the Beginning, is depleted. So We've been there a couple Of days that we haven't experienced in the Game.
Then you do the same thing again. Rumrunning.
Back into the Spacecraft.
Rumrunning.
End.
Zack and finished is the Walk-through.
I found nothing Exciting, no enlightening Moments and just right no Fun.
The Pixel Graphics Make everything seem very simple and surreal. The Music ripples in front of it, but has some good Heights.
Yet the Rest of the alleged Game is a terrible Visualization of Uncertainty. The (presumed) main Character runs so incredibly slowly that the Game consists largely of the Running Animations. And if you want to move to the next Screen, you have to click on most Screens after the Running Animation has been running from one Edge of the Image to another. This may be the Attempt to convey its Insecurity, after all, we are stranded on a strange Planet, but the Attempt fails if you do not get a Reward for it, if you fight your way through the Screens laboriously.
And I don't have a deep and satisfying Interpretation of the final Scene. I don't need them either. A deep, wider and world-shattering Sense in the SPiel would no longer save it for me.
Here again the Question arises, where a Game is still a Game and where only a very short, pixelated Sci-fi movie with occasional Clicks.
Sorry To anyone who might like "Stranded" (whatever), but for me this is an Attempt at the Artsy Fartsy guys and fool a big Picture.
I didn't have Fun, which is for me that the Game fell through in my personal Test.
After all, Fun is what we should also pick up Games, right?
P.S.: I've rarely mourned my Money like that.
