Vendetta - Curse of Raven's Cry
About
In the darkest corners of the Caribbean, an old evil is rising again.
It's been years since Christopher Raven's family was brutally murdered by Neville “the Devil” Scranton and his bloodthirsty gang, the Devil's Tines. Orphaned and missing a hand, Christopher is rescued by Marcus, an ex-slave and rum-maker who nurses Christopher back to health and takes him under his wing.
Growing up with a black bitterness in his heart, Christopher drowns his demons in rum and violence, brooding endlessly on the revenge that was stolen from him when the Devil’s Tines disappeared in the monstrous quake that sunk half of Port Royal. When a string of brutal and all too familiar murders occur, Christopher’s chance for revenge is suddenly within his grasp. Neville and the Tines are back, and nothing on earth will stop Christopher from claiming their heads.CONTENT OF THE DIGITAL DELUXE EDITION

Vendetta - Curse of Raven's Cry reviews and comments

I haven't written a Steam review yet, so this is going to be my first, but I kind of feel the need to write a review. The Reason: It seems to me Vendetta gets an unusually large Amount of undeserved hatred, positive reviews are decried as "bought" and a Lot is meckled because of his Past. I take my Hat off that the Developers realized that they were dirty the first Attempt, took the Game off the Market and reworked it. (I don't know the "old" Version, by the way, so I can't compare)
I now simply list my personal Pros and Cons, but I would like to note that I have not Finished the Game and there is still a lot of work to be done for me.
Pro:-the Atmosphere has more than succeeded. The Islands and Towns are beautiful, especially the Cities and both very busy. There are countless People walking around the small, narrow Streets, in the Jungle you encounter Tapirs and Cannibals or hidden Treasures. Man can watch Street checks And Drunk-ards, Anglers, Dealers and Hookers at Work.
-the Main Quest so far is exciting and interesting and well told and also comes with very successful Quests (I don't want to give too much away, but: Raven's World of Thought or the Temple ...)-the Ship fights are Fun. You finally get the Feeling that Wind really matters. Caping Rides are a fine Pastime, it's just Fun to go around with a Ship Hull full of Rum-some of the Side quests are really amusing (Cue: Shaggy, Bottle post ...)-Christopher Raven is a ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ Sense!
-The Music < 3 When I first heard "Whiskey In the Jar" In a Spelunke, I just stopped for 5 Minutes and listened.
-the Combat System on Land is not easy, but this also has a certain Appeal, especially if you have successfully Managed to get attack, Riposte, Attack, Cover, Attack times high on it (see but also Kontra)-in general, the World just feels right, As for the Pirate Age and the Caribbean. The Graphics may not be up to date, but grade the enviroments I really like. The Forests have really been cluttered with Plants, which is just awesome when you move through dense Stud. You discover little Crabs on the Beach, etc.-animated little things (I'm always happy about that): Rumple people around, walk slower in a Corn Field and push the Corn away by hand, wade appropriately in knee-deep Water ... Something.
-herrgott ... The Goat ...
Kontra:-the Combat System on Land. Even though I've already called it with Pro, but sometimes it goes pretty much to the Biscuit as it runs anything but fluid and intuitive.
-The Graphic of the Figures just doesn't feel up to date for the Price anymore. Sometimes the Faces just look too gurky.
-I know you can put different Hats on Raven, but I'd also like to put different Clothes on him. A bit more Variables in Equipping would have been nice, even if it's just too "fluff" (I know Raven pulls himself around)-the Graphics sometimes seem to bug around a little bit or flicker, but not so that it bothers, (me at least not)-the only thing that me Really excited: Raven "falls" 5cm off an Edge and gets Damage and also makes a Drama on it in which he screams up as if you shot him in the Leg.
-it does not seem possible to sell everything of a Product once. If you have 150 Units of Rum and you have to click 150 times, that just annoys. But maybe that can be done after all and I just haven't discovered it so far.
My Final Word: Whoever likes the Pirate atmosphere is right here. Because the Atmosphere is exactly what has really been achieved well here. You should give the Game a Chance. I also bought the Dragon's Dogma, which was praised by all Sides, at The Same time and am currently having a lot more Fun at Vendetta.
