About

Total War Warhammer is a combination of two franchises, which brings fantasy violence of Warhammer into the combat mechanics of historical Total War series. The turn-based strategy with real-time tactical battles between clashing armies. The story campaign begins with the newly elected Emperor attempting to reunite the shattered kingdom and bring peace under his control.
On the release date, Total War Warhammer offered four playable factions at launch, including Empire, Greenskins, Dwarves and Vampire Courts, but eventually, Chaos and Bretonnians were added as DLC. In total, there’s 13 DLC, some of which are free. Unlike other Total War titles, Warhammer includes the ability of special faction agents to participate in battles in order to give your army an advantage, a wider variety of animations and flying units such as dragons. Addition of magic with unique spells for each faction, which sets Total War Warhammer as a different title from any other Total War game.

Total War: WARHAMMER reviews and comments

My one negative is the lack of a story. They could have turned the whole chaos thing into a grand epic but instead of get a "Baby's First Book". That aside, the gameplay is rather quite enjoyable.

Date Completed: 2021-03-01
Playtime: 77h (Failed around turn 90, 2nd time completed the long campaign)
Enjoyment: 9/10
Recommendation: I was surprised by how much I enjoyed it.

Unfortunately, I have to say that Warhammer Is the weakest Part of the Total War franchise since Empire. Why? Well, the Graphics and Setting may excite Warhammer fans-because for them the Game was made, and for them it's also recommended. For strategy Game Lovers of the House Total War, on the other hand, it is a Disappointment, since the whole Game is not Progress, but a strong Simplification of the game's Events so far. -There are no more Foods. Money is the Only thing to worry about-The Building Coes are straight and extremely boring-The Units on the Battlefield no longer know any Formations-The Technology trees are a lame Joke, as are the hero enhancements fixing sieges Pure Frontal Attacks on a small Section where the Defender has little Chance (especially as a Vamper lord. These have no Remote combat Units). Battles for the Cities that have no fortress Walls no longer Exist, these are now a mere Field Battle. -There are no more unit upgrades to "heavy" the Game is still far too easy; It only takes a few Hours to win with a Faction. In the End, on the other hand, there is not even a Video Sequence ... Even if the individual Factions are lovingly and differently than ever before, the graphics are excellent, and the Chaos or Vampire Corupption is visibly displayed on the Strategy map, the Game remains a rough Simplification for Strategy fans And therefore Disappointment. It seems more like a nasty simplified "Attila" at fantasy level, saving at all Corners. Add To that the Fantasy Price of €60s' with essential Peoples as evil DLC Rip-offs that are missing! For the rest, I can only join this Video, which also gives a visual Impression, and offers more Comparisons to previous Total War Games, and shows that Warhamer is making no Progress in barely a Point: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o3U1PT4y-wQ
