Prince of Persia (2008) review
by Graham Kaletsky

A much needed reboot of the franchise.  not as good as sands of time, but better than many other PoP games.

A beautiful Game-sweet and beautiful Story (especially the End). -Bosses are not that heavy, but they are Fun! -The Parkour Elements are well constructed. Buy, play, rejoice, howl, annoy, annoy again, howl again, laugh. :) Definitely recommended.
The Graphics are impressive (if you stand on the Stalk), but man always does the Same thing, unfortunately. Even the Story, which is actually very beautiful, only takes place at the Beginning and End, in between there is practically nothing. Still, the Game made me fun, but it's definitely not for everyone.
A rather unusual Offshoot of the Prince of Persia Range, with a more comiche-like Look and much more Focus on independent Exploration of the World. The Fights always take place in Arenas and Man versus Man (or Wife/Demon/Whatever). One may accuse the very open Game world of Strong Backtracking, but the Ariale are lovingly and impressively designed and change several times. Overall unusual, but not unattractive. 8/10
First of all, I'm not through with the Game yet, but already quite far and have also played through the original Trilogy. I would like to Start with the very good Things:-Comic Style very nice (similar to Borderlands)-The Idea behind the Glove is pretty horny good humor And now to the predominantly bad Things:-MAN CAN NOT STERBEN!! What is this?? If I don't want to die, I play agricultural simulator. The Princess revives you immediately if you fall where, or if an Opponent kills you. He then only gets half the life back-In the whole Game (except there is something to it at the End) there are exactly 4 main opponents, who have to be defeated 6 times each and every Now and then an Intermediate opponent, who, if you hurl him at the Wall with a Combo , immediately dead. -The Main Opponents are all but one to defeat the same: Coter, Combo, Counter, Combo,... And the 4th just has to be marginalized (again with Counter, Combo,...) and you even experience that without having to think. -There are again the typical PoP Rätdsel, but very few and very light. From the 7 to 37 Hours of Gameplay, up to jzt was only collected half of the stupid Ball of Light (already 500!!), which are located on the Paths already taken. Quite clearly delay SPiel Time. Conclusion: I have absolutely nothing against Changes in a Game series and also thought with the Glove opening up new Paths, but misconceived. The Game is boring and far too light. Possibly suitable for gambling beginners, but nothing more. I recommend omitting the original Trilogy and Fingers from the 2 (?) new Parts.

Well, I can even stand the simplicity and a Zelda-like gameplay, but several things are annoying:
 characters are dumb
 the story is not immersive
level design is poor and repetitive
BACKTRACKING
and, as the final nail, you’re immortal here. What kind of challenge can be this way?
Somebody can say that this game is too easy and short (under 10 hours). I agree, but the story within is what deserves your attention. The plot is interestingly twisted, and Price and Elika have awesome dialogues. I think they’re connected like Ellie and Joel - if you know that I mean a very tight connection. I guess, it’s a very underestimated game that was released at the wrong time when everybody wanted some hardcore titles. Hope, the devs will return to it and make a reboot of the series. It totally deserves it.
