I have decided to play for the first time the entire saga. Even with almost 30years is still playable. this alone make i a masterpiece. there are only few section were it get frustrating because of the input choices. The narration is really well made
Anime kino with great stealth gameplay and peak voice acting.
A classic for a reason.

For the time, this game rips. I think one of Kojima's strengths is in his understanding of player interface. Games are an interactive medium, and the player's experience with control is paramount to their experience with the game. Not only does MGS has a great control feel for a late 90's console game, but it also does a great job of melding player experience and plot into one. The cutscenes don't feel overbearing or out of place. I also appreciate how Hideo isn't afraid to play around with meta stuff like with Psycho Mantis. It's not earth shattering or anything, but I think it's a pretty cool touch.
The only game I've beaten in a single overnight session. Absolutely revolutionary and mind blowing for its time. A game that's truly so ambitious that the console it was on could barely handle it.

Really enjoyed first half of the game, second disc was pretty disappointing. Still very good overall and well worth a play through.
I first tried Metal Gear Solid in 2004. I've only knew of it through an image on Playstation box. It seemed strange at first, but in an hour or two I've felt in love with stealth genre. This game stands out with its unique visual aesthetics, gameplay solutions, sound and music effects. I wonder if Guillermo del Toro and Hideo Kojima worked together on a Metal Gear movie, who would be Snake?
