Very large Modeller with many useful Tools, but it's not very easy to Get started. In addition, the Price Model is better than that of high-priced competition (e.g.;)) Those who sculpting and are ready to work in 3D will be able To let creativity run wild.

It is a great sculpting program at a great price. Retopology is higher than the last version I used to use ZBrush. The polypainting is good. For those who come from ZBrush the pointer is more messed up but in a short time you do your hand in figuring out when to use shift when CTRL with Mouse DX and SX. For those who want to start sculpting 3d with a little tablet the price of the educational version is very good and with some online help you learn the basics.

Really good software, a total new sculpting experience awaits you if you buy this software. It is reknown mostly as a handpaint texturing software however there are really strong points other than this one : -Really good, easy to use and revolutionnary retopo tools -top notch sculpting (you might find zbrush brushes a little better) -really nice uv tool If you are experienced in 3D you can adopt 3dcoat in less than a day; the gamedev workflow is really straightforward => sculptroom : scult everything from the basic shape to the small details => move on to retopo room and retopo your mesh then bake it => paintroom, paint, export and voila !

it´s the program to sort out the mess for you. dont be afraid by the many options you only need little to create high quality content. if you go voxel to vertice and watch your objects and ressources you will have on of the most stable workflows for highpoly 3d artwork/concept/design. decimate, export and mebe retopo. voxel is going to play a big part in the future from my perspective. curve tools are mighty and so is the painting and retopo tools. i cannot say how much this program helped me to rescue ♥♥♥♥ed up models in the past. there is lots of trial versions so pick one up and check it out. you can put shortcuts by holding your curser over the brush or function and press the DELETE button (no bad joke). then you can push a hot and mebe redefine another if needed. zbrush and 3dcoat together is a potent duo. 3dcoat can do some voxel magic that zbrush isnt capable of and when you want to go from concept to full 3d i like to start off in 3dcoat and then bring completly clean meshes with fairly good decimate quality to zbrush and get it in to that subdivision system there. i prefer the general quality of line transition and viewport rendering for some final detail stuff in Z. when it comes to alphas and masks 3dcoat is of very good use.
