About
4444 is a fast Tile-matching Puzzle-game!
4444 (feel free to pronounce it however you like) is a simple, almost retro, Tile-matching Puzzle game. In this prototype, you can experience the basics of its gameplay.
Core Gameplay:
- Move your cursor with your arrows and place you next Tile (top right).
- You can ONLY move on the LINE and the COLUMN of the previous Tile.
- Match colored Tiles in a group of at least 4 to make them disappear!
Gauge & Black Tiles
- If you don't place a Tile before the Speed gauge is emptied, the Tile will be placed automatically.
- If a "forced" Tile is placed on another Tile, it becomes a Black Tile, which cannot be destroyed.
- Each group made will speed up the Gauge!
Game Over:
- The game stops when the grid is full or when a Tile is placed on top of a Black Tile.
Disclaimers:
- This is a "V0", a draft, a first prototype to try out the core idea of this game. It might be updated and improved, it might not!
- 4444 takes inspiration from retro puzzler, such as Tetris, Snake, Puyo-Puyo, or even Connect Four.
I've made this prototype solo-ish, with the help of Rémi Leblanc. (Thank you so much!)
