52Hz follows the individual stories of both a lonely whale and a lonely child. Nearly everyone may feel lonely at some point in their life, it’s a normal feeling to have. However, to feel as if you don’t have a voice, and to be ignored when reaching out to someone can be a completely different story. 52Hz puts the player in the shoes of a child who is surrounded by a sea of people, but at the same time, nobody at all.
Loneliness can be crippling. It can be destructive, and to an extent, addictive. It can be discouraging and debilitating, but even if you are in your darkest place, the player must always remember:
No one born into this world is meant to be alone.
52 Hertz is an interactive fiction, where the player can walk around the environment and piece together the story for themselves. This was also the first game I ever made! I know it's pretty rough lol.
