This game is... really bad.
I have a weird bug where i dont even have the option to have audio.
Didnt even bother to finish the first level, stupid shooting mechanics, stupid checkpoint mechanics, no background, story etc. I tried but then the game crashed out of weird reasons.
I say dont even think about having this game in your library. Its worth not even 0.1€ and plays exactly like that.

8-bit commando is as in the name includes an 8-bit game that you can also play to 2nd. You Have to cope with 6 level with opponents who shoot at you and you can collect different weapons yourself. And then there is the versus mode where you can shoot yourself against each other into a small room. I think it's okay the game is quite nice but unfortunately the so-called story is very short and therefore you can't do much more.

Certainly a very funny Game. But I will probably never know because at the beginning of the game I changed something in the Settings, which Meant that the Program no longer works. Now I can't play the Game in general because it always tells me at the beginning that the "Comando.exe" no longer works. I don't know how to solve the Problem. Would Be nice if someone could help me with my Problem.

Windows 10 Operating System and XBOX360 Controller with PC Adapter Works flawlessly for me in SinglePlayer mode. With the Keyboard, the Gaming Experience-after my humble Opinion-is only half as good. So here's a clear Buy recommendation. Unfortunately, the Genre is not so the "little" playing Time for me. (Got the Game as a gift)
Reminds me fully Of the 80s with my ATARI2600 ... Hach there was still beautiful of Life ... Hotel Mom and so ... Xd

What looks like Contra for the NES plays out that way, too. But it may add a Little more to the 8-Bit charm in the Title than you might like today.
Both the Graphics, apart from the low Resolutions available, as well as the Music and Sound Effects fit together super. Sometimes Platforms are not as good to recognize as such, but a big Problem is not. The Gameplay, just like comparable Titles on the NES, is very simple. This not only limits the Control (Full controller support!) somewhat, especially with simultaneous Moving and Shooting, but also the Scope is very small with six different Levels. These all conclude with a usually rather unspectacular Boss fight and offer a sufficient Variety from a visual point of view, but the Playing Time still stays less than an Hour. Nor do the Steam leaderboards, which can be retrieved exclusively within the Game, offer any greater Motivation. Accordingly, there are no achievements.
The Question of whether the local Co-op mode and retro feel are sufficient as a Cheat at a current Price of £3.99, everyone has to ask themselves. Despite the very short Playing Time, I enjoyed ballering through the Levels with a Friend, which I will certainly repeat.
