On a cold November night in a desolate estate deep in the mountains an innocent life has prematurely perished. Surrounded only by his family and closest friends, a controversial yet immensely successful businessman William Goldberg passed away under mysterious circumstances. Being an upstanding member of society and the owner of Goldberg Industries, a multi-million dollar arms company responsible for providing the military during the World War 2, news of his death caused an uproar at the local police department. It seemed the case was tailor-made for the legendary detective Knox, a prodigy who successfully solved over hundred cases. Accompanied by an aspiring young detective Clark assigned by the Chief to keep an eye on him, Knox departs towards the Goldberg's estate to discover the truth behind the incident.

Miles away from nearest settlement in a mansion hidden from the eyes of public, it is only natural to presume that only those present at the time could have been involved. Follow clues, look for evidence and discover key information by interrogating the suspects. All pieces of the puzzle will be presented and it's up to you to deduce who, how and why the murder happened. A mystery visual novel inspired by classic novels from Arthur C. Doyle and Agatha Christie and "When They Cry" series.

A Detective's Novel reviews and comments

Product received for free Don't touch the piano! A Visual novel inspired by the classics of the detective genre, such as Arthur Conan Doyle, Agatha Christie, Robert Stevenson and so on. Not quite a characteristic time line for the genre, namely the middle of the XX century, although the characters and the environment correspond to a little earlier era, as for me. We have to Investigate the murder of the owner of a large weapons campaign found dead in his bed, in the bedroom of a chic mansion. To get to the truth sent the legend of the local police station detective Noxville and junior detective (but rather assistant Knoxville) Clark. A Burnt cynic and a young naïve guy is far from being the best team, but they are both aimed at the result. In the list of suspects, the widow of the murdered Mrs. Goldberg, the adoptive daughter of Alex and the son with an unusual name, Mr. Rosenthal, Deloy partner Mr. Smith and Butler Joffrey. Who had motive? Who had The opportunity? Who has an alibi? Who has secrets? That's what you have to find out. Variability of passage, nonlinear ending, a huge number of saving slots for working out of their theories-all at your disposal. + Unexpected end, though not quite logical (as for me) + images of heroes are aged throughout the game + availability of settings for the speed of appearance and fade text-a limited number of emotions characters, because of which the game is not always well perceived -Different genres of soundtrack compositions. If the tracks were included in certain plot moments and complemented the atmosphere, I would not say the words. But here they just alternate and do not always look appropriate: The fast, then slow If you choose between "recommend" and "Do not recommend", then I rather for the second option. The Ending doesn't quite correspond to my idea of the genre and common sense. But at the same time to watch the game interesting, see twists-interesting. And when I thought it was the end of the action, it just started.

Before us is a visual detective story. Briefly about the plot: In His secluded estate, surrounded by family and friends, a well-known businessman dies premature death. The Mysterious death of such an influential man forced the police to send for investigation of the famous detective Knox and his assistant Clark. That's where we're going to have to investigate. The Gameplay is a search for clues, interrogations and a comparison of facts. In between reading of the next text with the description of events we are given to choose from several variants of phrases on interrogations of witnesses and suspects. The turn of the plot will depend on the phrases chosen by us. And, as soon as we begin to interrogate someone, the game includes a cheerful music, warming interest in the happening. The Graphics are a mixture of painted characters on the background of processed photographic backgrounds. Quite interesting solution for the visual novel, but for the detective story is very suitably looks. Fans of the detective story will delight, because it was inspired by the classic novels of Arthur Conan Doyle and Agatha Christie! Moreover, there are several options for passing the game, depending on the phrases you have chosen during interrogations. But to enjoy the story to the fullest you can only with a decent knowledge of the English language. You can also play With the initial level, but you can miss some of the subtleties. The game has interesting characters. Each with its own character, bright and amusing. What The game lacks is a boob. Really! If Women's characters were drawn breasts more lush, then play would be more interesting at times. It would be something to look at, and the "true connoisseurs" of visual novels would not bypass this game. That's what pleased and amused, so it's switching the track to a vigorous music during interrogations. I've been waiting for every single moment. Liked the style of the game, its graphics. Since I am not a lover of detectives, in all the subtleties of the plot and the ending completely did not delve. Well, the game has only two minus: the theme of the boob is not disclosed and there is no Russian language. Gameplay (see, evaluate): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jl6OFr4NUDE
