A Druid's Duel reviews

I was immediately under the spell of A Druid's duel thanks to his artistic direction. It's cute all full and the tiles like the characters have a real identity. The good news is that the game is also very nice to play and very tactical. It's turn-based strategy, type chess game, both easy to access and puzzle if you want to get out winner of a clash. 4 classes of Druids, a unique resource-Mana, on paper it may seem limited. Except that our Druids are endowed with metamorphoses and 4 different animals are therefore on the program. Of course some are useful to capture boxes, others to harass the opponent, place obstacles, protect key areas... Everything combines beautifully and you can use multiple different approaches on the same map. Because Mana is the only resource, we fight to produce a maximum, and we take the brains out to learn how to spend it intelligently. 3 basic Druids to occupy the field or a warrior Druid with a super hammer capable of turning into a killer bear? In both cases it costs 15 Mana! :) The campaign seems long and there are enough multis cards to not get bored. A real good Pickaxe, if you like tactics and board games. We can always quiter on details so quibble: no support 16/9 so far so we play with black stripes on the sides when we have a wide screen, which is the norm today. Nothing very nasty that said. The two real problems are probably the following: poor reading of the diagonals, especially for the archers who shoot at 2 squares. That is not clear enough in my view. Then comes the online multiplayer that is not populated enough. So A Druid's duel is nice in local and online if you have a friend who has the game... Go a little video to see all this in motion and in color. http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=418153576

A Druid's duel is a turn-by-turn strategy game where you will always be looking for mana to defeat the opponent with your four Druids with animal powers. With a pretty rich solo campaign, you might like it! CONCEPT The goal of the game is simple: decimate the opponent. For this, you evolve on a plot with squares and bridges that can be created or destroyed. You have in your team four types of Druids with special powers: the wolves: short attack, but able to turn into a wolf to conquer territory the bears: powerful attack, capable of making a bear-shaped ravage. Eagles: Archer with long-range attack and able to fly away. Wizards: real Swiss army knife. Transforms the terrain and can protect it. To move, attack, transform, etc... You'll need mana. And to have Mana, you'll have to conquer territory by moving on or being on it. You'll also have steles to conquer, and bonus boxes. Here are basically the basics of A Druid's duel that you will have to master to defeat from 1 to 3 opponents on dozens of different trays. [EASY TO PLAY/HARD TO MASTER] In order to take charge, one quickly realizes that it is not enough to rush headlong to win. The dimension "taking territory", positioning, calculating Mana cost, renewing troops, all this offers many strategies. Of course, sometimes you will be riding on it because of an investment fault or a lack of Mana, but nothing impossible to defeat. [SINGLE-PLAYER CAMPAIGN OK/MULTI ENTRE-AMIS] The solo campaign is quite long. Not so repetitive as this, it offers a little classic story. Regarding the multi-player, it is unfortunately very empty right now. Preview live games with your friends. CONCLUSION A Druid's duel is a good surprise from my bundle. Kickstarter and develop by a single man with a low budget, it offers a really decent solo campaign and solid game mechanics that will make you want to play it. Do not take it to play in multiplayer where then if you buy it with friends. "You enjoyed this evaluation? A little like it's always fun. »
