A Simpler Time

What seems like just another day in 2020, is interrupted by a strange man at work? Not really but they give you some weird stuff that brings back some pleasant memories , go home, go to sleep. And wake up where? A mysterious world once known to humankind yet almost forgotten, traverse the world finding the missing pieces to the puzzle that will bring you back to the life you once lived.

A Simpler Time , a classic Game Boy style adventure game where you play through narrative and platformers to return to your timeline.

INSTRUCTIONS (GB STUDIO | PLAYGUY):

• A - Keyboard "Z" | "M"
• B - Keyboard "X" | "N"
• D Pad - Keyboard Arrow Keys
• Select - Shift Key | "H"
• Start - Return/Enter Key | "J"

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS & MORE:

The game can be played with a Game Boy Color Emulator, or through GB Studios if you're willing to explore the back end of the game.

We suggest using PlayGuy for GBC and run the game by extracting Game Boy Color ROM.zip file and loading up the game.gb in the emulator.

The game was made in GB Studios, a software game-engine by  Chris Maltby that allows designers/developers to make a Gameboy-esque games.

If you wish to open the project, just simply extract A Simpler Time.zip and load up A Simpler Time.gbsproj from  the folder.
