A Wild Catgirl Appears is a Visual Novel by NewWestGames. One plays The Student Ami, who is forced to join a School Club, meets Liese there and starts together with this one to develop a Game that has a female Catgirl Ninja as its Main Character. Up to this Point the Story is quite mundane and from there it becomes quite ... Strange. But Has some funny Moments and Conversations to offer even if in some Places I could only shake my Head. So if you don't Fancy a strange and somewhat confused Story, you should rather leave your Fingers off it. Likewise, people who don't like Love Stories, because that's what it boils down to in the End. In the short Game (you shouldn't need more than 4h for all Endings) you can make relatively many Decisions, which affect which of the 4 Girls you end up with. However, the Decisions only change the End, you get 2-3 different and mostly inconsequential Sentences depending on the Decision and then it always goes on the same. I would have found it better if the Decisions had had a greater impact on the whole Course or you at least gave some more Information, because Questions raise the Game enough. Moreover, if you learn a little more about them, the Characters would have done well, so they remain very superficial. The Graphics are very mixed. The Backgrounds are sometimes extremely bad (Ria in the Shower) and sometimes very well drawn (Eiko on the Beach). The Characters are mostly well done but look pretty bad in some Outfits (E.g. Ria in her Swimsuit). In addition, it could have been a bit more Facial expressions and Gestures, in some Scenes the Characters look a bit star. The Sound is ok, once you refrains from the Title that goes through with the Credits, because it can rob you of the last Nerve. I noticed 3 More things. First, there is no reasonable Skip Feature. You can sketches texts, but the Game doesn't stop automatically when you have made a (new) decision. Second, you can't take Screenshots with F12. Third, some Texts indicate the wrong Characters as Speakers, which can be quite confusing. What I still find a Pity, but now I do not want to explicitly list as a point of Criticism, is that there is no Gallery. It has entertained me quite well, which is why I give the Game a Thumbs up, but the Recommendation is very limited. For absolute Visual novel Fans, it could well be something, at least if it's in the Sale. I would not spend the current Price of 3 Euros on it, especially if I consider that there are better VN ' s for the free Titles.
