Ability Sustaining Quest demo
About
A demo for a platformer puzzle game about obtaining abilities and then sustaining them. Collect abilities, keep using them to avoid losing them and grow your abilities to progress through the game.
Controls:
-Arrow keys: move right/left
-Space: jump (if jumpability is a higher level than 1)
-R restart
-Esc: exit.
Abilities implemented:
-Moveability: Move around. Works at level 0. Level up to increase top speed
-Jumpability: Allows jumping, and higher levels allows higher jumps
-Talkability: Used to satisfy sad NPCs. In later versions, NPCs will help you if you have higher talkability.
Abilities planned:
-Attackability.
-Defendability.
-Healability
-Digability
-Craftability
-Carrycapability
Other mechanics:
-Ability stations: used to learn new abilities and regain exp
-Cap breakers: used to increase the level cap of an ability
-Nullifiers: areas where some abilities aren't allowed. In this demo, jumping is not allowed in the red area.
Planned mechanics:
-Monster fights
-Sustain abilities: an ability that lowers the ability decrease speed, making it easier to suspain your other abilities.
-Updated player sprite based on talkability level.
