Advanced Tactics Gold reviews

One of the best strategic wargaming on the market. It contemplates production, resources, climatology, supplies, morals, experience, terrain, FoW, research, statistics, and many types of combat units, engineers, transport, air and naval units, and all of them are combinable in units container so that the customization of the strategy style is total. The Jewel of the crown is the automatic system for creating random scenarios with multiplayer possibilities of up to 14 players per PBEM. To that we add a very competent IA, a very complete scenario editor with which you can play almost any conflict that you think of, and a wide wardrobe background of scenarios created by players, in which you can find some wonders like the GD1938 where the SGM is reproduced at the complete and global level. In short a wargame at an exceptional strategic scale and has become a classic for the "connoisseurs" of the world.

I Have played Advanced Tactics Gold since it came out in Matrixgames, is a complex game if you have no practice in strategy games but you can get to enjoy a lot once you dominate it, certainly not in Spanish but it is not an impediment to enjoy this game. Several points to consider: 1. This game does not bring campaign, brings some scenario, not counting the ones that make the players themselves, but the best is the incredible replayability that you will have thanks to the random maps, huge amount of hours struggling in all kinds of Situations, each map will give you a different experience. 2. There Are, as it were, six factions/races, Russians, Germans, French, Chinese, Anglo-Saxon and Japanese (there is another faction but only the IA can use it), each one has elements that differentiate it from the others (the Chinese have for example militias). 3. Unlike in the previous of the saga (Advanced Tactics WWII) In this there are two resources, oil and raw, both will be needed to produce and move certain units. You May get to yell at the screen more than once PQ do not have gasoline to move your tanks... So beware of going crazy taking out battle tanks. PQ Eye The IA comes a little doped on the issue of obtaining resources. 4. The units are produced in the cities or in the factories you have built (you can build naval factories, tanks, artillery and shipyards, as well as roads, ports, etc.) 5. It Has a powerful editor and relatively easy to use, which will allow you to create your own maps, your own factions, etc, it is very cool to create your own maps, only time and your imagination will be the limit. 6. Chronologically The game is inspired by the Second World War, although there are mods and scenarios that modify it. 7. Maybe IA is its weak point, but this is usually the weak point of almost all games. 8. Of course there is research and improvement of units. 9. Y more... But I will not put everything in this analysis @:P summarizing, for me is a highly recommended game but if you have doubts there is a video on YouTube and forums matrixgames various AARs to help you clarify ideas. A greeting
