About

Story:

The year is 1965 in an unknown country.

After the abrupt death of David Garcia's mother a decade ago, the young boy had nothing left: no relatives and no friends. Luckily, he was quickly adopted by a rich couple and lived a life full of luxuries and peace.

However, for 11 years, the only thing in David's mind was his defunct mother and their lonely past together. One morning, during his monthly visit to the graveyard where his mom rests, David meets an unknown woman who tells him what he was waiting to hear for many years:

"David Garcia, do you want to meet your grandmother? Do you want to meet Remedios Garcia?"

Fueled by the desire to know more about his family's past, David trusts the woman's words and travels to the town where his grandmother resides, Agapan. During four days, David ventures into the deep fog of the village with one clear goal in mind: finding his grandmother. However, the ominous fog of Agapan hides many secrets waiting to be discovered.

Agapan reviews and comments

Agapan is located in the line of to the Moon and other Silver Creek fall, a good notch below however. In other words, a good narrative game developed with RpgMaker, with the gameplay rudimentary, but with the history and the atmosphere (especially sound) of high quality. What's more, the scenes of dialogues are interspersed with drawings of the best effect and the game has multiple endings. Verdict: 3.5/5-which is good, but not top.

Agapan is an adventure game "story driven" made with RPG Maker (so you do not fight, there are only dialogues and choices to make). In the game you will be David, a guy (not very clever, in my opinion, since it takes a lot to understand certain things during the game) orphaned and looking for his maternal grandmother in the village of Agapan. As A game recalls the much more famous To The Moon although the opportunity to explore the village with some freedom makes it a little slow especially at the beginning before you know the map well. The story is divided into fractions of days that will pass after you have found and done some actions (not all easy to find immediately, unfortunately) and becomes quite addictive in the middle of the second chapter when you begin to have more information Interesting on the protagonists of the village. Multiple Endings (I think at least a dozen) due to the various choices made in the gameplay push to start all over again. The soundtrack accompanies the game nicely. Nice game, maybe not worth the €8 for 4-5 hours but discount is worth it to be tried.

I had hooked and loved this concept. A narrative story with RPG maker, like to the Moon or always sometimes monsters. This game has very good graphics, good music and a very successful atmosphere, plus 12 endings to get. Everything to please me, and yet I can not recommend it, because there is no clue that tells us how to progress in the scenario. I block from the beginning, on day 1 (the story lasts 4 days), and there is no walkthrough on the net. I have yet explored the whole city with our hero, David, and made all possible interaction and choices. Finally, that I could find, and now I block. I always enjoyed the games that do not hold the player too much by the hand, but there is too much. Apart from a letter from Lucia telling us about different places in the town of Agapan, which I have visited all, there is no other indication. I do not want to redo a game, to change some of my choices, hoping that it will unlock me. To interest them, here are the choices I had made: * I explored Lucia's House, although she told me not to go there. * I spoke with the man living near the Lake. (I don't think we can avoid this choice.) * I gave water to the homeless man. * I spoke with the boy near the school. * Marisa asked me to help her. I answered "no". * The schoolmistress (I forgot her name) also asked me for help. I answered "no".
