About

Agent Awesome is a strategy game for PC and iOS developed by Chaos Industries in 2015.

Plot

The player performs as Agent Awesome, a secret agent going through his former employer’s building called E.V.I.L. (Engineering Vicious Ideas Labs). The player aims to deliver the agent from point A to point B on each of the 12 levels and get rid of every enemy on the way.

Gameplay

This is a third-person perspective tactical arcade. With each level, the player gets to see the floor’s map.
The screen consists of a map, a health bar, the amount of collected money and the timing line, so each level should be finished on time. The map shows the location of every enemy and their routes, so it lets the player choose his path suitable for survival and attacking. The gameplay has both combat and stealth modes. The player can mix those to fight all of the enemies and collect more money. Each point can be used for a character or a weapon upgrade and new weapon purchase. Every level is accompanied by a typical secret-agent-movie type of soundtrack and dialogues between the characters.

Reception

The game is praised for its humor and design. However, at the same time, Agent Awesome is criticized for incomplete settings and expensive weapon improvements.

Agent Awesome reviews and comments

Product received for free I have not paid for this game! Humor is the highlight of the game (if you understand English) but the gameplay is reperitive and without much depth... We follow Rails with advance, sprinter, stop. That's. Oh yes we unlocks new weapons to kill the enemies on the same Rails in different ways. Fun 10 min

Product received for free puzzle game quite amusing in which one embodies an American agent, very caricatural, in battle against the great villains of the society EVIL (the name says a lot!). Difficult to take in hand at the beginning but it is done quickly and the levels are easily chained. It's not the game of the century, but if you're looking for a game not too long that will occupy you a little, then it'll be perfect.

So I love the universe and humor in the game. The graphics are average. Cinematics are probably the most interesting thing in the game and why I play it from time to time. The problem is the gameplay. I don't like it. It's not because it's bad... It's just not my style. It's repetitive and boring. As a matter of fact, it's hard to recommend something where you take little pleasure. And the price... We must stop the delirium!

No, no, no. I will disregard the fact that I have not hooked to the humor much too caricature and already seen, thoroughly in the parody with big hooves, since on the one hand it is totally subjective and on the other hand I do not understand enough English to immerse me in this kind of e trip. But this game disappointed me on many other points. It is both repetitive, shallow and anti-immersive. I did 4 levels plus the tutorial and I am unable to say how different they were (if, if they are, not the same size, not the same course, not the same number of guards, yes but on the principle I did exactly the same thing). The actions are summarized as I go, I brake, I kill and I start again. Infiltration? Ahem! If you are able to read a plan, you know how to play agent awesome. We are on Rails, the deaf guards and the anosmic dogs too, and the only sensible action is to slow down before the crossroads to let the guard pass and lie in his back. Super deep. The only difficulty is the end-of-mission timer which forces to redo the level by moving the buttocks. I like the plan and go in general but there, frankly, have to switch to a tactical plan to plan (Yes, says it seems logical but...) it is drunk and it breaks unnecessarily the rhythm and stress that should be inherent in this type of game. The atmosphere suffers. Okay, I got it in cheap promo and it's typically the game to do a level from time to time (except that I always forget the keys and that I spot the tutorial every time to revise) so it's not hopeless but I think I'll uninstall it pretty Fast.
