About

Keep arriving and departing airplanes safe from collisions, while avoiding unnecessary delays. In this game you will work at the world's most complex airports. Human pilot voices, a radar screen, 12 different real-world airports, plus an awesome soundtrack make this game a must-have for anyone who likes aviation. Sound complicated? Airport Madness is for everyone, and it is very easy to learn. Do you have what it takes to be an air traffic controller at a busy international airport?

You are paid the big bucks for your visualization skills and guts. Just like the real job of an air traffic controller, you must pay attention and keep your eyes moving. There is always something that you should be doing. You must give takeoff clearances, landing clearances and taxi clearances in a strategic effort to maintain safety and efficiency where there would otherwise be total chaos. This is not a spectator's sport! Can you hack it?

The Airport Madness series began in 2008, and has sold more than 75,000 copies. Airport Madness: World Edition is the sixth and most popular version of the series.

Airport Madness: World Edition reviews and comments

Translated by
Microsoft from Deutsch
The Key used for this Review was provided by the Developer for Review purposes. What is Airport Madness: World Edition? Airport Madness: World Edition (called AM: WE for simplicity reasons) is a simple but very challenging air traffic control simulator, in which, however, air traffic is only controlled in a very close Environment from the Airport. Ensure Aircraft Lande-/. runway and make sure there are no Collisions of Aircraft. In the Event of an Approaching Accident in the Air, the Flight Path of the Aircraft can also be determined manually, but normally the Aircraft is given an Airstrip on which it lands. The Game is generally very challenging. Detailed Review AM: WE is a lot of Fun. The Graphics are good, but the Graphics are not that important. I like the Music, but it repeats itself throughout. The Sounds are apt and sound good. An absouluter plus for the Game is the easy-to-learn Control. You theoretically only need the Mouse, but there are also a few Hotkeys on the Keyboard. There are 8 different Airports to play. Each of the 8 Airports is different-So you need a new Tactic for each Airport. They are very well designed, so there are always a few Weak Points at the Airport where there are often Collisions-So the Game is very challenging. There are four Game Modes: "Building Traffic" = The Amount of Air traffic gets bigger over time, the Game ends in the first Collision "Time Trial" = Complete as many Planes as possible in 10 Minutes from "Move 100 Airplanes" = Complete as fast as 100 Aircraft as possible. "Continuous Play" = A Kind of Endless game. Infinite Collisions are allowed and the Amount of Air Traffic is adjustable. Unfortunately, there aren't particularly many Types of Aircraft, but that wouldn't change much in the Gameplay anyway. However, it is very good that the Developers are active and Respond to Community Requests. Recently, AM: WE also has Steam Trading Cards and, of course, Steam Successes, which encourage you to continue playing. What is Annoying, however, is that the Screen Resolution is not adjustable. There is only the Window mode, which is always the same size, and the Full Screen mode, which pulls the Game apart in such a way that it fits on the Screen. Pro Simple but good Graphics matching Sounds good Music very simple Control overview surface good airport design 8 airports 4 Game Modes developers respond quickly to bug reports or Suggestions Steam Successes Steam collection cards Neutral No German Translation (English only) Contra Music repeats itself throughout (loop music, but sounds good at least) Not particularly many Types of Aircraft resolution Not adjustable Conclusion AM: WE is an easy-to-learn but difficult to master Air traffic control simulator. The Graphics are simple, the loop music sounds relatively good and the Sound is apt. The Controls are simple and the Surface is clear. I would recommend AM: WE to anyone who wants a challenging airport managing game where you don't build but just manage Air Travel. The Developers respond quickly to bug reports or Suggestions, and that's definitely a good Thing.
