Albert and Otto reviews

Yes, it is a little bit off a rip-off of limbo, but I think Limbo is exceptionally good and as I can only play it so many times, it's nice to have another similar style to scratch that itch. My main complaint is that it's very short and (as it was supposed to be episode 1 of 4) the ending really feels like it's leading to a sequel that I very much doubt it'll ever get. Which I think is a great shame, as I thought it was a really solidly designed and nice feeling little puzzle platformer.

The Game is not bad and has good Ideas. Unfortunately, towards the End there is such a Frustration area that you repeat 30-40 times until you with Luck and Skill maybe Shaft no longer has any storage Points accordingly Shaft Mans Or loses the Desire for the Game with me the second Was the case so the second was the Evaluation. Better storage points are worth Gold.

Even if it came to the End, "Thanks" to the River Level prevailing, I can recommend to any "Limbo" Fan Albert and Otto. I even liked Albert and Otto a lot better, because the Rästel Design was much more pleasant and relaxed than with Limbo. The Story doesn't come to mind yet, because this is only part 1. Why the whole thing is set in the Third Reich is not yet apparent to me. But that doesn't bother me any further, as the Game has managed to Entertain me enough to Reach the end despite the River Level to the Extent that I wanted to make it.

A very nice Game with wonderful Soundtrack, the Graphic Style with its Shades of grey is very atmospheric and the Fact that the Action goes without text and in between there are only Pictures in Letters to Albert makes the Game kind of Mysterious for Me and awakens in Unfortunately, you don't get too clever from the Drawings, they usually refer to upcoming events, for example, announce a Boss. At this Point, by the way, I would like to praise the two Boss fights, I really liked them, especially since they are also kept in Puzzle form. From the Gameplay, the Game is mixed. Some Passages can be solved relatively easily by Deliberating, while others require Trial & Error. I would have found it more Beautiful if they were best not to happen at all. In any Case, as a Player, you experience a motivating aha effect when a Puzzle could be solved. In the Course of the Action, the Degree of Difficulty increases significantly and towards the End at the passage with the floating Box, probably not only I spent most Of my time, as Checkpoints were set very irregularly-unfortunately are missing because which Are at crucial Points like me While other Passages have been very generously placed with Checkpoints. Hm... All in all, a nice Game that offers about 3 Hours of Entertainment-slightly more if you want to achieve the 12 Achievements, which will probably be my next Goal. I definitely recommend all platform fans and controller owners to take a look. I'm a bit confused about the Game itself, by the way, I suspect this is an Episode game? Have not read anything of the Sort in the Game description, let alone when it will continue with Albert and Otto. I'm definitely excited to see what else is going to happen in the other Episodes.
