Alicia Griffith – Lakeside Murder reviews

Alicia Griffith is a point n click but her "treatment" (the graphics, the puzzles, the way to build the story from the real to the fantastic) brings him back to a hidden without the hidden object scenes. But despite this lack, we are having a great time conducting this investigation. In addition, if there is no animation for the characters these are doubled. The scenes are well represented and clear. There is not a tangle of parts of any kind unrelated to the place. Puzzles and puzzles are mostly very simple or even a little complicated but where would be fun without challenge:) Personally, I regret somewhat the passage to the fantastic, the bloodthirsty side of the beginning foreshadowed a more traditional investigation but it is potting on my part. At the radius of the problems one can indicate one or two not terrible translations and a cursor that has difficulty taking the objects in the inventory bar. I think it's my laser pointer mouse that causes this... or can be the setting for FPS that is not too suitable for this style of play ^^ to finish, the newspaper is a little gem of information... both on the events, the characters encountered and the puzzles to solve (if you feel a little lost this one gives you additional clues if you click on the current goal) and it is really appreciable.

I will repeat myself since I am not at my first game of this type and they all look little or prou. I situates AG – LM in an Honorable average of this kind of game. Honorable average because:-the realization is of a respectable level-the graphics are correct, even if I find the characters praised in relation to the decorations, i.e. they are kitsch and unrealistic. -the animations quite stiff and little worked. -music (repetitive, it is inevitable) still enjoys a certain talent. -the gameplay is quite accessible for people who discover this type of game while being in what is made more familiar to regulars; We know where to click to get such and such effect... We focus on the game and... the story. The story, the scenario precisely – since this is the point on which I insist every time because this is the crucial point in my eyes – is in the average... While presenting weaknesses. The story goes on a very familiar rhythm (a murder), which focuses on a somewhat more specific genre (ritual murder) to engage on a track... in theory a little more specific (I preserve the mystery) but that appeared to me totally superficial because of its springs, how to say, historically impossible. To take an example that reveals nothing, I would say that it is as if Agatha Christie had written a novel in which the Russians have a colony in Africa. It doesn't exist, Agatha fabule. Well it's the same for AG – LM, the authors have fabulated. Personally, it spoils me part of the game experience, but that aside, it's acceptable and tied up in an ordinary way (in the sense of normal), to make a game in which one progresses in the investigation and we discover the strings of the plot while solving puzzles. It may be a bit fast, not in the game time (5h for my part), in the succession of discoveries, because I like to take my time and think about what I discover. The FR translation (subtitles) is excellent, I have noted no errors, not even in the subject name translations, something that proves atrocious in other games. One last thing: the puzzles are still very easy, they require more concentration than the actual reflection. Medium, Honorable, no more or less.
