Alien: Isolation posts

Would love to see more of this unsettling behavior.
How do I get to Gemini Exoplanet Solutions?
I'm currently backtracking before starting mission 12 so I can pick up missed ID tags. The last one I need to pick up is K. Lenton, but I can't figure out how to get back to Gemini. Any help would be much appreciated.
Can anyone help?
I just bought the collection with all of the dlc and everything installed flawlessly except for the Trauma dlc. It gets to 1.32 out of 1.70 GB and then fails every time. I’m on Xbox series X btw
Any suggestions? Love so many aspects of the game but keep getting stuck
I'm only around 1 1/2 hours into the game but I've gotten stuck numerous times and had to lookup walkthroughs after being stuck walking around frustrated not knowing what to do multiple times. I love many aspects of this game like the immaculate vibes/atmosphere, the immersiveness, and a lot of things that are spot on for a game I'd love. It's just that I keep getting stuck and generally don't do well with puzzle type games, they require a lot of focus and patience and it just leads to frustration for me rather than enjoyment and experience. I also feel as if I keep looking up walkthroughs everytime that it'll ruin the gameplay and not feel natural at all.
Anyone else find themselves randomly humming the Seegson boot sound when they turn on electronics?
I haven’t played the game in a few years but I caught myself humming the little jingle this morning while turning my laptop on. I think I also do it occasionally when opening electrical panels
Miscued Dialogue: Does your version tell Verlaine “there is no personnel umbilical” before checking the terminal? (Mission 18)
It’s a minor detail, but Ripley consistently says this before reading the terminal on PS3 and PS4. So how does she know then?
Vanilla playthrough or AI mod?
Hi, I'm sorry if this has been posted before, but I couldn't find a thread exactly like what I wanted to ask.I'm looking forward to playing this game for the first time and I wanted to ask if I should go for a straight vanilla playthrough or use one of the AI mods to play the game.On the one hand, I like the idea of getting the "real" experience that comes with the vanilla game, but on the other hand I could see how a longer "tether" with an AI mod would be more fun to make the alien more unpredictable and less attached at the hip. Any thoughts or suggestions? Thanks!
Freeze-time in consoles mod?
Anyone seen or heard of a mod to freeze time when interacting with consoles, and maybe electronics too? Yeah, i get the design intention of everyhting being "in the stress of the moment" and all that, but frankly i've played the game enough now to know that i would obtain greater immerson by reading logs in peace instead of somehow having my entire face taped to a screen while the alien is about. I would actually do so to the electronics overrides as well, since it would improve on the rather marginal benefit they give by giving you time to plan (you can abstract this as Ripley being more apt than the player is anyway). I personally care more for the tactical aspects than its scary/stressful aspects. I would be scared anyway 😅 but at least i'd get to process the lore and stuff.. It sounds like a really simple mod, so i'm hoping.
The xenomorph watching me go in a locker:
Need advice
I am starting a hard play through. I’ve never beaten the game or gotten very far past Axel. What should I know and do to ensure I succeed and don’t give up when the alien starts hunting me?Thanks
Is it just me or does Amanda have a huge dumpy?
Let me start off by saying that I am a huge B-I-T-C-H. I have easily spent several hours sitting under a desk because I'm too scared the Xeno will kill me.Besides that...I noticed that moving around under certain tables causes Amanda's hitbox to collide with objects it shouldn't. I specifically noticed this under the tables in Mission 5 (Medical Wing). There is a save station at the bottom of the map (which I will leave attached) and in the same room there are tables that you can completely crawl under. However, when you turn to look back and forth in either direction the player hitbox seems to collide with nearby chairs and other objects, even through solid parts of the table. It almost seems like crouching causes my hitbox to become a wide rectangle that spins with my camera and collides with objects I shouldn't really be colliding with.Does anyone know if this is just a bug with my save or is this actually an issue due to the developers not being good at coding hitboxes and hitbox behaviors?https://guides.gamepressure.com/static/mapy/en/gfx/map\_649.jpgEdit: Forgot to mention, if you plan to play this game and haven't before do not look at the picture.
