The story highlights Daphne, a young scientist, in an adult universe tinted with fantasy, which depicts the shimmering colors of the French countryside: dissatisfied with her personal and professional life (she abandons her studies to become researcher and accepts a position as a math teacher), she decides to take a fresh start in her grandmother's mansion that she has inherited (a castle full of secrets), located in the middle of the French arch.
But the village stories will soon cross the life of this young city: rumors, black magic, urban legends? Will she turn to witchcraft?
This game has a beautiful graphic touch (real paintings, the drawings are sumptuous, it is visually sublime) a soundtrack to the piano subtle and delicate, relaxing.
This Visual novel comes out of the lot and focuses more on a familly story, magical superstitions, paranormal. We are closer to Celtic legends and stories of villages as there are so many in France.
It is not fundamentally question here to manage his harem even if the game offers us several romances.
We must therefore make impacting choices about the body and spirit of our protagonist. Each decision will turn Daphne into 4 major areas of development, should we assert, help others, believe in the occult or remain Cartesian?
The most exciting thing about along the edge is that our choices will of course have a direct impact on the screenplay but also on the appearance of Daphne. In my part for example, the young woman who wears at the base of long red hair decides to radically change her face and opts for a short cut and a blond dye.
Only one part will not be enough to go around the full potential of this game.
We are suddenly tempted to see all the evolutions of our character which will involve a lot of different parts.
1 end between 4 to 6h

First of all, I would like to clarify that I owned the game before it was released on steam and so I had the opportunity to try 5 different endings. My playing time is therefore higher than that specified on steam. It was a pleasure to immerse myself several months after my first games.
I would also like to acknowledge the effort of the developers in the illustrations that are very successful, as well as the level of narrative choices that make the game stand out from most Visual stories and avoid the classic cross of this kind of game.
Before you enter more details. I say I'm just a novice in Visual stories and along the edge seems like a very good initiation to this genre. To give you an idea order, I enjoyed Visual stories such as Solstice, cinders, hustle cat and Cupid, which I also advise if you are comfortable with English.
I recommend along the edge and here's why in a few lines: already, the game has the merit of being in French and English! This is rare enough for Visual stories to be put forward.
A part lasts about 3h by having a quick read. It's ample enough to soak up the story and replayability makes you probably spend 12h or more on this game if you like chasing successes and discovering the variations of history by taking your time (I intend to do it anyway), so you'll get your money.
You should know that your choices will influence the game in several different ways (relationships, characters, history, importance of beliefs). Successes give a good idea of the variety of situations (28 different successes). I would say that the game has 4 main endings (quoted in the description of the game as the "destiny of the main character" with variants that I let you discover) radically different. For more details on this, read the description of the game that speaks very well.
I really enjoyed the atmosphere mixing French and fantastic countryside. The screenshots on the store page give a good idea of what you will be entitled to. It's just beautiful. We feel the peaceful side of the frame and we want to learn more about the village and its inhabitants.
The minimalist music is pleasant, dress well the whole and stick with the atmosphere.
I rarely do evaluations, but this game deserves ample support!
