American Patriots: Boston Tea Party reviews and comments

This game is simplistic with very little content, we expect a lot more of a tactical video game and, to use, even at less than a euro I do not really feel like I have for my money. But unlike many other simple games that promise mounts and wonders, this one is presented in a complete and honest way on the store page so I will put a positive assessment because I see no reason to shoot this game so that I knew exactly what I was buying. For the detail, I'm a little lazy, read the babeldemeter3, I would have written substantially the same baratin if I had the courage to develop;)

Boston Tea Party can be called a strategy. But only if for you game plastic soldiers in 5 years on the carpet-this is also a strategy. Or Rather, on 4 different carpets, but it does not change the essence. There are different situations when this game can come to the liking (provided that has not paid for it more than 29 p., and better 17.40 p.-If at a discount). For example, like hex-grid and this is all, but worked 8 days in a row and the only kind of strategy, which is able to-move matchboxes on the table. Or here: Like the strategy as a whole, but suddenly came back from the bar on the eyebrows. I Want to play something like that, but to get the mouse in the units is obtained only from the third time. In this case, the Boston Tea Party is also the same-especially, it is possible to pass it in 1 hour with a small. Just before that time, until you finally get knocked out.

Sure you're not going to ruin yourself by buying this 0.99 Euro game, however I'm not sure it's worth it. Gameplay: the game system is really basic with a large share of randomness. Basically, you have to optimize the movements and shooting ranges to hope to do more damage during your turn than the opponent by playing on three types of units (the infantrymen who shoot at one square and are slow, the cavalry that is fast and the guns slow and f devastating and with a range of 3 hexagons). Obviously, there must be rules on the cost of moving the land, but as this is difficult to determine (the cards imitate the maps of the time and the type of terrain is poorly distinguished). For the rest, no rules of morale, ammunition, control zone (one can pass quietly in the middle of enemy lines), no actions of retrenment, overwatch, etc. It is very very basic and therefore quickly not very interesting. It's hard to take pleasure in developing a tactic when there's nothing to actually build one. We have the opportunity to increase the damage by taking the enemy in tenaille, but as the movements through the enemy lines are free and without attacks of opportunities, this does not really add realism to the game. Interface: the interface has probably been developed for a tablet support and moving on the maps to the mouse is slow and not very comfortable. Universe: when in the historical period, nothing is explained. The game does not even have a pedagogical scope. Graphics: it's Super Basic, but given the price, it sounds logical. Conclusion: in short, it is cheap and not very interesting.
