Anna - Extended Edition reviews

Anna's Highlights are definitely the Setting for me. This old Gloomy Mill, which feels so native due to the warm Fire but also at the same time, immediately captivated me. The Abomination Also contributes, of course, when you walk over creaking wooden Floorboards and suddenly sound a Crack from the Attic. Not to forget, the great Soundtrack and the beautifully told Story (which is to be praised here high). So again the perfect Conditions for a perfect horror/adventure game right? Jein! Because what indie developers seem to forget about such Games time and again is that the Gameplay is immensely important here, too. Because, among other things, one of Anna's biggest Problems is inventory and menu design. Due to the fact that Items you no longer need to disappear from the Inventory form an almost endlessly long bar of Objects in which you simply lose track. This is bad game design and makes it difficult to Try It on the already heavy Puzzles. Because what bothers many about the Game is that you have to combine the Solutions yourself, with the Information you have received. This means reading, reading and reading. So it can happen that the Puzzles seem illogical to many. However, Once you deal more closely with Matter, everything suddenly starts to make Sense. In Summary, I can recommend the Game to any Fan of the Things mentioned at the Beginning, who can also live with a difficult Menu guide and Puzzles, which you might have to deal with a little more than you would like. However, I am Pleased to see that the Developers are working on a Sequel and from the Screenshots they seem to have taken quite a bit out of their Debut. I will definitely get them for Me!

"Anna-Extended Edition" is a mysterious First-Person Point-and-Click adventure With horror elements. We find ourselves in front of an old Water Mill in the Italian Alps. Anna-that Name doesn't go out of our Heads anymore. But what happened? What does this Mill have to do with it? And do the terrifyingly irritating Things really happen or are they just in our Head? We seem to be able to find the Answers in this old Mill. Nothing more is to be revealed about the Content, because an essential Appeal of "Anna" Is to look for Explanations yourself. It should only be Mentioned that the Mood can be creepy, but it always has a psychological Component that makes the Situations an Illustations of our Inner World. Interestingly intelligent, profound and dark. Game Mechanically, it's an almost classic First-Person Point-and-Click adventure. We investigate Things, collect them, combine them or use them. We collect Books, read them and let us automatically write new Records in our Notebook. Unusual, however, Are Icons representing Insights, that is, Truths revealed By the Course Of the Game. If we Combine them correctly, new Truths and thus puzzle stones of the Puzzle can emerge. In itself, the Game works technically well, the Controls are practically intended. For example, by Rotating the Mouse wheel through the Inventory items, we can scroll through the inventory items without having to open the Inventory. In itself, a good Idea, if we have 20 Items where there are also pieces of Paper that are practically indistinguishable in cursor resolution, a good Idea becomes a cumbersome feature. The Puzzles range from simple, obvious and logical to outlandish and pulled up by the Hair. Every now and then, the not simple Game becomes unnecessarily frusty, that you don't have the slightest idea where and how to proceed. The Game has eight different Endings, some of which, however, tell a premature breakdown of the Search rather than a really alternative Solution. Anna can definitely score points with the Respiratory, which is Skillfully generated by well and lovingly designed graphics and above all by really strong Sounds, matching Music and good Setting.
