Anna's Quest reviews

Anna's Quest is a fantastic Point 'n click that you unfortunately see too rarely in this Day and age. There is a clear Buy recommendation from me, which I want to briefly justify: Gameplay The Gameplay of a Point 'n click is self-explanatory. Move Mouse over an Object and click. Anna's Quest does a lot of things right here: There's a lot to click on; Some things to pick up, some for Information, some things just as a nice Detail by the way. The Inventory is clear and never gets too crowded, no longer usable items do not simply disappear wordlessly, but are left commented by Anna. Music and Voice Output What is created in many Reviews is the missing German Voiceover, for a German Production Actually a bit strange. The Daedalic thereby abandons his Connection to the Homeland, however, cannot be said. The Game is full of references to Germany, especially to German Fairy Tales. Almost all Names are German. This gives the whole thing with the English Voiceover something mystical, unusual. A City called "Wunderhorn" would be nothing extraordinary in German, but in English It stands out. It's The same with other Terms in the Course of the Game. And after all, there are German Subtitles and Menu management. And the Voiceover was very successful! The Dialogues are humorous, the Voices appropriate. Little Criticism: Some Characters have the same Voice. This occasionally led to a few Confusions, but does not disturb The Soundtrack is nothing extraordinary, but very nice to listen and supports the Mood in the Game usually very well. Difficulty and Playing Time As beautiful as the Game is, it's not particularly hard, I find. Most Puzzles are easily solvable with Logic, of course you always have to think something around the Corner at a Point 'n Click, but really problems I hardly had. On the one hand, this is good, on the other hand, I would have found a certain increased Degree of Difficulty quite pleasant. A few Puzzles, however, already require a little more Time, so much is said. But If you Can get through without much Trouble, you will be done with the Game in about 10 Hours. That doesn't sound like much, but the Game also costs significantly less than a Full-price game. It might have liked to be a little longer, of course, but too short I don't really find it. Presentation The Graphic Style is simple, but at the same time very beautiful to look at. The Characters are lovingly and individually designed and harmonize well with each other. The Backgrounds of the different Chapters are varied and invite you to discover as it should be. The Screenshots give the best Impression of this, of course; This Graphic Style certainly does not please everyone, but I find it very charming and above all suitable for a Point 'n Click adventure. Even at the normal Price, this Game is worthwhile, as you won't just enjoy it once (hidden Secrets reveal the Images in the Bonus area, as well as a Lot of Achievements, which are not necessarily all unlocked in the course Of The Game). If you should get it at a discounted Price, then you don't have to think about it immediately and enjoy It! :)
