Another Way Out

The prologue of the game is inspired by a true story of the life of Cece McDonald, a black transgender woman who was assaulted and then put into jail after stabbing a man to death when trying to defend herself. 

This game attempts to highlight and criticize the oppression that marginalized identities, especially those who hold multiple marginalized identities face in a white patriarchal majoritarian society. Specifically focusing on the justice system, this game showcases how trans women of color are continuously being criminalized and treated harshly and unfairly within the prison system.
