Any Direction is Better Than Where You Stand Now

Any Direction is Better Than Where You Stand Now was developed for the Greenlight Jam. As of 6/19/22, the final game has been submitted. Any Direction is Better Than Where You Stand Now was made using Unreal Engine 5. The controls are standard WASD for movement, shift for sprinting, and mouse for camera.

Play as Vyn while they try to save everyone in Lunaris before it's too late. Finish quests for the residents of Lunaris to make sure the growth and creation of the new civilization goes as smoothly as possible. But not everyone believes in the mission.

The majority of my 3d assets are from various Synty polygon sets. 

The music is all from Dark Fantasy Studios.

Prototype Phase

The prototype of the game was submitted on 5/29/22. The prototype is intended to be a very basic layout of the concepts that the full game will expound on more.

There are 3 quests available in the prototype, a quest from Matheo (the wizard/scientist), Orthur (the blacksmith), and Leoma (the cook). The quests received from Matheo and Orthur are Main quests and the quest from Leoma is a side quest. After completing all the quests, the game will display a screen informing you of such and closing the game.

Ideation Phase

The game design document was uploaded on 5/21/22. I tend to have problems visualizing things in my imagination so most of my design document consists of describing the concepts and designs, I apologize in advanced for lacking pictures or sketches.
