AGK in Version 2 is on its Way to becoming a good Product.
A Permanent Construction Site of 1-2 People because something new is constantly being demanded.
Unfortunately, not Object oriented for this very easy and fast in handling.
The IDE is small and handy and has as I think everything necessary for Hobby Developers.
AGK is mainly for 2D Games for PC/Android/Mac/iOS/Linux (also Raspberry Pi) where Apple is a Problem child With their OS Updates.
You can also export as HTML5 for a WHILE!
(With a few Browsers like Firefox on PC or Safari running on your Mac to some extent)
With Android, there is no Guarantee that everything is going as expected with the many OS versions.
For this, in turn, you can use an Android. CREATE APK File for the Google Play Store relatively easily from the IDE.
When compiling, a Bytecode file Is always created, which is integrated into an Interpreter.
For example, if you press out of the Editor on PC Broadcast and run on Android the Player, you get the Bytecode etc. via network and the Game runs there directly without the Need to install it beforehand.
Price/Performance is right. On Offer about €50 as a Bundle.

The Name is, in my Opinion, a bit of an irritating one. By an App Game Kit I would rather understand something with which you can click together in Zero Comma nix an App. The "Instant Game Development" Given in the Title is of course not quite right either. I bought Dark Basic Pro from TheGameCreators several Years ago and therefore knew what to expect. Basic is of course a very simple Language and ideal for Hobby Programmers and People who want to get into Programming.
The Pricing Policy is also very confusing. Here on Steam it currently costs €92,99million. TheGameCreators ' Homepage costs it 50€+Maerchensteuer, but you can also have a Steamkey hastened, which I did, because I have my Software from a Source and don't have to search the Web where I bought something.
Compared to DBPro, it can be said that App Game Kit 2 is Basically a slimmed-down DBPro (mainly slimmed down In Terms of 3D), which offers the Possibility to export iOS or Android Apps directly.
Why App Game Kit 2 costs more than double it is beyond me.
Despite all this, I think the Program is worth its Money. If you have already programmed in Basic, you will find your way around immediately. If you would like to try your hand at an App for smartphone, you will find here a relatively good option, with a Programming Language that is very easy to learn. You just shouldn't expect to buy this Part and then create Games without Knowledge in the Blink of An eye, as shown in the Videos here. It's a long Way to go before then.
You can also use The Program to develop games for the PC, but my old DBPro Is a thousand Times better, as it simply offers a lot more possibilities.
