Armikrog reviews

We All know why we bought this Game. The Neverhood. With Armikrog I expected more humor, deliráncia, complexity, finally a worthy successor to my brains as he did The Neverhood in my youth, in Cammbio I have encountered a simple graphic adventure, with repeated puzzles, with a humour that barely steals a smile and That leaves you indifferent after overhanging the dull puzzles. Most of the revisions base their analysis on an impeccable graphic section, fact that I share, but Armikrog should be much more, the graphics care and that aesthetic is the least that could be asked. If you're thinking about it, be sure you're going to be disappointed.

I loved it, brings back memories of when I played Earthworm Jim and The Neverhood when it was smaller, graphics and visual quality exepcional, has a lot of grace and I generate a joy mesclada nostalgia, the new character Beak-Beak is not behind and complements Well in the style of the game, I support the job they did and I give a round of applause... Now the criticism, it would have been better to be a little longer the story and some puzzles are complicated (obviously is the logic), but in less than two hours you complete it, is a bit poorly optimized but not serious, I hope for the next story (because As it gives a gap for continuity) tweak some little things, which are not serious, because the game as it is, okay.

The complete experience of this is more like an timetravel than just a game. And if you never tried an neverhood game but you like the Style, give it a try. At least when it's on sale. I love the Artstyle and the clunky 15fps animation. But Armikrog does not just bring you the glory from way back in the 90's. The Sound is after a few patches still buggy. There are glitches, Items get lost until you reload, one time my Savegames were lost. The feedbacks for simple clicks or even saving are... well there are none. The gameplay is like cheapy from 1995 without any comfort and really loooong and slooooow walks. The puzzles are not really one of the logical kind. But i didn't expected that from a neverhood game. For me just the Art and the Designing of every single Screen is what pulls me through the entire game. For me it's fantastic. So even more disappointed i was after my walkthrough because there was just nothing. No Art- nor Videogallery, not even some single pictures or an option to activate some creators comments for the next walkthrough. NOTHING. I just felt like i did that 9 hours work just for nothing. In the End I still recommend this game at least even when it's on sale, to apreciate the animators and the sounddesigners work for their great job. And for the hope, that more money will bring us all a better "The neverhood" game in future!
