A nice Game for in between!
In the Style of Tower Defense Games like Plants against Zombies, one sends his Armies, from previously elected three Factions, on lanes to the Opponent and tries to destroy his Towers. Once the Fight has started, you can still intervene in the Action by Means of Spells (these too depend on the faction chosen.) The Principle is simple, the Pixel Graphics cute and quite appealing and it is also motivating to unlock the single Breeds and then test Combinations and Strategies.
But you shouldn't expect too much: Balancing Is questionable to say the least. The Campaign is simple and very short and very rarely a Challenge (and only because the Ki cheate, i.e. particularly strong Units, which do not exist in the Factions, has very early on)-> otherwise simply read the lvl description and then just read the Faction vote which is particularly strong against the Threat, win. Even in Skirmisch, The Ki acts stupidly and you almost always win, just because of the Spells (which are also hardly balanced and sometimes buggy).
But you definitely have a few Hours of Fun with the Game, therefore and also because of the fair Price a clear Recommendation (maybe Multiplayer will be added later?!). Just a bit of a shame that wasn't made of it anymore, because Styles and Gameplay would have been worth it.

I expected a disappointment as in the case of "Beasts Battle", instead I confess that I had fun with this title.
Army of Pixels is a game in the "Plants vs Zombies" style: the player at the beginning of each round will accumulate a certain amount of gold to recruit troops to be placed in one of the five game lines. The troops are going to clash with the enemy ones and then try to break through the opposing towers. If 10 units go beyond the opponent's defenses the game ends.
What I found appreciable of Army of Pixels is the fact that advancing in the campaign we will unlock different breeds, each of which will have 3 units. At The beginning of a battle we will have to choose 3 of these races, having a total of 9 units. Each breed has different special abilities and the soldiers themselves each have strengths and weaknesses. This expedient forces the player to put in place different strategies and "the obligation" to try a bit ' all races even if the powers of some remain much more severe than others in the course of the campaign.
As a lover of pixel art I enjoyed the graphic style and the models of the monsters (many, although many have only different graphic palette).
Overall the game is not bad, made with a decent care. I seem to have paid less than one euro. If you are not sorry "Plants vs Zombies" This is a decent alternative version.
