About
Samantha is depressed. She’s been depressed for a long time, almost as long as she can remember, but it’s slowly been getting worse.
She thought Lillian was her friend, her best friend. Perhaps she even thought of her as more than that.
Why, then, did their relationship have to fall apart? Was it really her fault? She didn’t do anything wrong. At least, she didn’t intend to.
Now, three months later, Samantha finally has her chance. Forced together on their geography field trip to the Lake District, will she finally be able to repair her relationship with Lillian – or will it collapse all over again?

Beautiful graphics, pleasant music, a short but interesting story. Beware however for those who are not comfortable in English, the language used is supported!
The characters are endeant (especially the "secondary" characters in my opinion). The small plus: their personalities and relationships are based on those of English poets, whose biographies are available after finishing the game for the first time. The opportunity to cultivate in the passage:)

A beautiful piece that knows how to stand out!
Let's start with something that strikes from the start: the drawings. They are quite distant from the "anime" style I used to and yet this one is just gorgeous! The universe and the characters are very neat.
Compared to history: it can be hard to read for those who just speak English occasionally. The story will not be incomprehensible but you might miss some passages. This one also has several purposes with I find many choices for a short VN (while some would only propose a linear adventure).
Finally, the mood: If you come for joy, then you can directly change the game (or give it a chance). The music retranscribed this heavy atmosphere and managed to put us in the skin of Samantha. (Although I sometimes have difficulty understanding these reactions and I think it will be able to annoy more than one).
I kept a very good memory of this game and it is definvment in my favorites.

If you suffer from depression, this story will hit waaaaaaaaaaay too close to home. What happens to Samantha, as well as her thought processes, and her words, uncomfortably reminded me of my own depression. The depiction is absolutely spot-on.
It's short, but it really tugged at my heartstrings. The unrequited love seeps into so many lines I ended up pining for the beloved Lillian myself, as ridiculous as that seems.
There are several endings. One of them is catastrophic, another one disheartening, and the two remaining ones are hopeful, so thankfully, you will be left with a positive note rather than haunted.
Art-wise, this is gorgeous, quite simply. The music is nicely atmospheric, and works quite well with an anachronistic aesthetic that blends 18th century style with a modern day setting.
The writing is really good, and even quite funny at some points. The characters are likeable and relatable and have depth.
My only complaint is that it's a terrible shame for something this good to be this short. I was left wanting for more, because I've acquired a taste for it.
It's a bittersweet feeling, to end on the most hopeful ending, but to know I've completely explored the game. I-I can only foolishly hope I'll get to see more of the same. :c
