About

When you're running on battery, make every second count!

Assault Android Cactus is an arcade style twin stick shooter set in a vivid sci fi universe. Junior Constable Cactus is outside her pay grade when she responds to a distress call and ends up stranded on a crippled space freighter under attack by its own robot workers.

Utilising a draining battery mechanic in place of lives, Assault Android Cactus challenges you to think fast and keep the bullets flying, blending the gameplay of western styled arena shooters with aspects of Japanese style bullet hell as you charge head first through transforming stages, massive boss battles and an eclectic cast of characters on the way to saving the day.

Key Features
  • 9 playable androids, each with a distinct play style and personality
  • 25 stage campaign spread across five areas of the ship, face down giant bosses, earn characters and uncover the story of the Genki Star
  • Dive into the Infinity Drive to test your skill and endurance or challenge the Daily Drive to pit your wits against the community
  • Supports keyboard or joypad and 1 to 4 players with local co-op
  • Unlock game modifying EX options, Codex entries, artwork and more for wrecking robots

Assault Android Cactus reviews and comments

But why I bother buying this stew full pot while there are emulators all over the net that allow me to play all the best danmaku ever created by raizing, cave, psikyo and other legendary developers... Android assault Cactus, it's buzzing, repetitive and illegible. In addition, the Androids are poorly balanced and the boss pattern is without any interest... And I'm not even talking about the game/level cardboard design that should be the priority for an arcade game. I'm going to purify myself from this Galactic crap and go back to play "zero gunner 2", "striker 1945", "Dodompachi", "soukyugurentai", "battle garegga" and other wonders of the arcade world. It's starting to be hard to do the sorting on steam now...

Attention Risk of Addiction. ;) Play the daily challenger and try to reach S + everywhere. I rarely do That and is not easy with the Bosses here. Would I be extremely excited about a new Part and/or new Content. Do Not be intimidated in front of the Screenshots, so a Hardcore SMOB as it affects some Pictures it is not. In addition, there are also many different Androids (look very cute but also cool). Everyone plays Different and therefore different Play with each Andriod. They all have different ANgrips and Special. Each also has Its own Cutscenes and Conversations where the Story is told. They are very nicely done, each has its own Personality. Great to play for in between a few Rounds, or but have Fun with 1-3 Mates (4 Player CooP is pure Funny mess).

The game is beautiful, fluid, quite intuitive although the pad 360 is not perfect at the level of the double joystick + shot key. The difficulty is a little weak even if it remains very acceptable. Honestly, this game is very good and I got it for 9 euros, it's a good slice of fun. But let's be honest, it is on rated:-the levels are repetitive, the characters are very very inegaux, really it is nice to want to lay a handful of different abilities on the so-called unpublished characters but in reality some do not not allow, even with a lot of mastery, to pass some bosses or at least with a much higher difficulty than others (starch > ALL but Holly > Holly). The game modes are quite classic (history, infinity, multi and the challenges of the day that are frankly useless and simply type in the levels of the game story) the universe is nice but not transcendent, neo-Méca futuristic. On the other hand I salute the artistic involvement of the developers, because we like or not it is very well realized. In short, the potential is huge but the feeling of unfinished is great in front of who could have been a Pearl and that will remain only a good surprise.
