Assetto Corsa Competizione reviews

Early Access Review A worthy Sequel to Assetto Corsa Even though the Content of the Game is currently very small, it is an enormous Amount of fun. The Unreal Engine is excellent here, but even the Driving Physics is noticeably better than in the very good Predecessor. Bugs or Crashes I haven't seen any, the Performance of the Game is also significantly better than I would have expected from an Early Access title on day one (~ 90 FPS on 1080p and all Max with a GTX 1070 and I77-6700K). The Support for my Steering Wheel (Logitech G29) is also top, only one Option like the Previous company to include own LUT files is missing here (although the FFB is already much better here). But according to the Roadmap, there will still be a lot to come to the Input Devices. Negatively, I have honestly noticed so far that I can't activate my Lights on the Car, Lichthupe goes without a Hitch, Only the normal Driving Light doesn't. But Can also be up to me. The Attention to Detail is definitely recognizable, I think it is especially great that the Degree Of Reality is once again higher than in the Predecessor. So you get Radio Messages from your Team, you can activate and control Things like Windshield wipers, Cockpit Display and Pit Lane Limiter yourself. The Setup Possibilities are also a lot more extensive, here a lot has happened behind the Scenes (if you are Interested in technical Details, you should read the Contributions of the Developers in the official Forum, highly recommended). All in all, I can only say how great the Game already is if Kunos maintains the Level of the first Early Access version or even boosts it there is definitely an unrestricted Purchase recommendation from me. The Roadmap is promising and for the current €25 you should not think and snap for long. I will update the Review again in a few Weeks ' time, when Features such as VR support and Multiplayer have appeared to include them in the Review as well. UPDATE VOM 15.11.18: Yesterday the Multiplayer finally came into play and so far it's quite Fun even if the Possibilities are limited for the time being (only Training and few Realism options can be adjusted). Setting up your own Server is as easy as in the first Assetto Corsa. Unfortunately, the Game is currently sometimes crashing in Multiplayer (a Hotfix will definitely appear for this in the near Future). I only tested VR very briefly and it works okay. Not as good as in the first AC, but that's where it's still to be screwed. Performance hasn't improved or worsened for me in the Meantime (which I think is a good thing, as the Performance is already pretty neat).
