Atonement 2: Ruptured by Despair reviews

If you liked the first game (like I do), then you will also like this second part. Most dungeons are relatively short so you won’t run around in circles like in some other games. Since there are no random encounters but only the enemies senn and placed on the map, you won’t have to grind all day either. In the first game, you had the chance to play it again with the second team and it was different enough to be worth doing that. But maybe few people did, so in this part there are some shorter sections where you switch to a second team. I‘m not the biggest fan of dark grey/brown dungeons, but since it fits the setting, one can’t really complain about that.

Competent but ambitious The Mix of Atonement: Scourge of Time and City of Chains has been implemented competently and will certainly bring Some Joy to fans of maker RPGs. Unfortunately, Atonement 2: Ruptured by Despair misses too many Chances and is therefore weaker than it could be. The Complexity of the Choices & Consequences and the game Mechanics taken over does not approach a City of Chains. Fans of the first Atonement part, on the other hand, are disappointed by the Abandonment of the perspective system. This would have offered so damn good in the second Part! But at least a very well-balanced Level of Difficulty is offered, which ensures some challenging Lap fights. In Addition, Atonement 2 does not seem as unrefined as a City of Chains. And so things balance out again. The Bottom Line Is another good Title from Astronomic Games. And if ambitions are finally aligned higher, then an Atonement 3 could even rise to a really great RPG maker game. Pro and Cons: Pro:-three different Levels of difficulty (generally very exemplary Balanced difficulty level)-accustomed to uncomplicated Control via Keyboard or Controller-neat mix of The Game elements of Atonement 1 and City of Chains Neutral:-Choices & Consequences of the Acaldia sections are little more than small Gimmicks-Graphics and Sound are based only on the prefabricated extension packs of the RPG maker-extremely linear counter:-the Plot seems quite superfluous and their interesting Basic Concept wasn't really used-the Concept of experiencing the Action from two Perspectives was unfortunately jettisoned, which, given the Plot around two different Elerias, makes no Sense and represents a real missed Opportunity-of the West Added Graphic kit Is not yet so worn out, but rather unattractive-playing Time with 7-8 Hours somewhat briefly fell short The full Review: http://www.gamecontrast.de/atonement-2-ruptured-by-despair-review/#more-63902
