Avencast: Rise of the Mage reviews

Have never heard of this Game but ... It reminds me a little of an old Harry Potter Gameboy Game that I once had and loved very much. The Game has what and if you can get it like me in the Sale for €0.99, it's definitely worth a Look.

Not so bad for a 2008 game, especially on promotion. Except after 15H of games: complete crash. Even when loading old backups the game crashes in the same place. The games continue to work but the main quest can no longer be completed. Too frustrating.

Forget the Meta-Critics! You may be through in "only" 2 Days and the Replay value is also rather low away from the second skill line (from my Point of view), but for that it offers everything that The Role-playing Heart desires. An exciting and entertaining Story that Allows to develop his Character's Struggle for good, GEGEN the Evil In the Deal on all The things worth watching and playing.

I was pleasantly surprised. Without being a revelation on which it should be thrown, I think the game (not quite recent in my case) is well worth its small piece (€0.99 in Promo). At €10, I will say clearly no, especially as I have to rummage the parameters because with the graphics to the Max, I have big bugs of textures. In short, a good little old school RPG that should make me a few hours. Attention, English dialogues.

A good little hack that I had already made in front box version. As the name implies, there will be only one playable class but depending on the magic chosen we will have a mage based more on remote shooting or body to body... to the difference of some Diablo-like one will not have a lot of enemies to the screens but more technical fights than bourrins, with rolls to Dodge with therefore a rather slow progression... The game is not overly long but is really fun to play.

Somehow I don't get really warm with this Game. I like the Setting, the Characters are very attractively synchronized, the Graphics are so far fine, but with the Controls I can't get that clear at all. I haven't played three Hours yet, so I can't say anything about the Story. In the Early Days you have the typical messenger cross quests. Although Avencast seemed very appealing to me overall, I don't think I can play through it as I struggle with the Controls in particular. So far, I haven't really found anything that captivates me. It's really rare for me that I don't Feel like continuing to play so early. Maybe it's also because I'm untrained with Keyboard and Mouse. Therefore, I would rather not recommend controller friends to this Game. (Controller is not supported)
