Backgammon is probably the oldest Board Game ever. In Europe, we owe the Spread of the Game to the Romans, who were generally passionate Dice players. Modern Backgammon is based on Rules laid down at the Beginning of the last Century. How does Backgammon go? Black plays against Weiss. Each Player must dice their own 15 Stones across the Pitch, assemble them all in the "Inner Court" and "play" from there. Whoever manages that first wins the Game. If you Reach a single Stone of the Opponent on the way, you can throw him out and he then has to make his Journey again. Backgammon is usually played in several Movements. The Doppler Cube plays a special Role in This. With it, when it is the Turn of a Player, he can offer a Doubling of the Value of the Game before The dice and the Opponent can give up or continue playing for twice the Value. The Doppler Cube is a strategic Element. Good Players are distinguished by the fact that they are particularly clever in using him. Backgammon Lightning Backgammon Lightning Features five Special Rules, some of which occasionally apply in Tournaments (Beaver, Racoon, Murphy, Jacob, Crawford). And then there's the Lightning mode, where you collect Coins that a Player can swap for Power-Ups. I wouldn't necessarily have needed this Mode, but it doesn't bother either, and maybe someone really attaches importance to it. At Release, the Game Mechanics were a bit sluggish, but this has improved significantly since the last Update. The Game is now running fluidly and is enjoyable to play. The AI is a Disaster when you're no longer a bloody Beginner. Backgammon Lightning Is not a real Challenge even at the highest Level of Difficulty. Especially with the Doppler Cube, the AI gets a little heavy, but also quite normal Traits are often very peculiar. I'm not a very good Backgammon Player, but that even caught my eye. So If you want a little more Resistance, you have to go online and look for Opponents there. There Is also a local Game variant, only in that Case I would prefer to put a real Board on the Table and dice with proper throws rather than sit in front of the Computer in pairs. Community The Connection to the Game Server does not always succeed, which was a Disaster, especially at Release. In The meantime, the Developers have probably also worked on it. Currently, the Composite Is much more reliable and also responds faster to The Player's Moves than was the case at the Beginning. A voice chat feature is built into the game. Actually, a very practical Feature, although you don't really need that for Backgammon, because Collusion or Teams don't exist. But it's nice to be able to talk without additional Software, after all, this is a Parlour game and that always has something to Do with Socializing in my Eyes. Finding Players isn't easy because Backgammon flash isn't a particularly popular Game. I would advise joining a Backgammon Group. Graphics and Sound Graphic it's Really made very nice. There are five different Game boards to Choose from, all of which are very chic. The Boards can be swivelled and zoom a little, but unfortunately not rotate by 180 °. The Game offers various Music styles as Background Suggestions. The Selection is unobtrusive and fits the Game-probably not for everyone, but You can also switch off music. Conclusion If you don't know it yet, you'd like it: Backgammon is a great Game with extremely simple Rules. A healthy Mix of Luck and Strategy. Backgammon Lightning Is reasonably reasonably programmed as long as you play against real Opponents and ignore the abundantly blinded AI. You can always argue About Game variants aptly, but I think it's good that Backgammon Blitz offers some of them, even though I'm more of a Purist personally. Backgammon Lightning Doesn't have a good Rating. Almost all negative Reviews, however, relate to the Initial release and the long Losing Streak until the first Updates. A lot has been improved since the last Update and that was ultimately decisive for me. Backgammon Lightning looks nice, runs (now) reasonably fluidly and maps the original Backgammon Game as well as it gets. In the Sale, Backgammon lightning Is amazingly favorable every now and then, although it's still quite new. For me as a Board Player, it was definitely worth buying. But those with a meagre Internet Connection may prefer to leave their Fingers off the Game.
