BANNERMEN reviews

I had high hopes for this game, had it on my wishlist for quite some time and decided to buy it blindly. Wasn't the best idea. The game is ok but not more, the campaign is hard even on normal, the AI is plain stupid and you lose because you're fighting at some place and the super smart AI dies while just standing around doing nothing. Also it feels like for every single hit an allied unit gets you get the message "Your allie is under attack" which gets annoying fast (so you ignore it, then the guy dies because you didn't protect him, is the mission to destroy your enemies or to protect the idiot?) I generally question the AI of being an actual AI in the campaing or if it is just scripted events. The game always behaves the same, if you repeat a mission several times, at some point you can place a timer and know when the enemy will be at the allies base and which troops he will bring... Also there are bugs everywhere, the latest, which made me quit the game now, was that I had to destroy some weapons and then when I turned on the explosive after playing the mission for 20 minutes, my Hero decided to just tell me "Ok I'll move there" but then not move! Then BOOM and he is dead, restart from the beginning please beacuse there is no way to save your progress in between. There are only a handful of buildings you can build, no upgrades, no ages nothing, only 2 different kind of resources which you just farm like crazy, then build a huge army and try to destroy the enemy. Not really motivating. You can't build a defense for your "Town" because all you have are towers, so what you can do is build tower next to tower as a wall and fill it with archers. There are no walls, gates or whatever. :( There aren't different units for different parties, it's all the same 5 available units and that's it, just the color change. Really sorry that I have to write a bad review, I wanted to like it more.

Product received for free Bannermen-a simple real-time strategy for hardcore fans of the genre Full review: http://blast-games.ru/obzori/bannermen-obzor-2019/Bannermen-This game is very average with some frankly weak places, Protruding into the seven versts in all directions. But first a little about the good-in the game very good physics engine and watch how the dying units are folded and scatter shields, weapons and armor elements in different directions the first time is really curious. Here is a good voice and quite acceptable dialogues, albeit very naïve and predictable. The Plot of the campaign does not shine, but is not something frankly bad. It would be more than enough if the gameplay of Bannermen was not as simple as a stump. And He is like that, though he works as a clock. There is no tactical component in the game-your task is to push as fast as possible and as much resources as possible, set up more units and crush the enemy quantity. Buildings can be built anywhere from the beginning of the game. There are no zones of influence here – though on the base of the enemy is a system, allow. Units can not build up-just stand out and click on the enemy. In Addition, they do not always react to enemy attacks, standing in the same group-half beats, and the second is not. There are bugs already at the very beginning of the campaign, because of which you have to replay the whole level. Oh Yes – You can also add only three units to the queue, you have no walls and you cannot skip dialogues. In General, Bannermen-This is a real hit-parade of game-design miscalculation, which from a potentially decent game did quite average, advise which I would not dare even fans slowly, but confidently stretching the legs of the genre RTS. Only If you're so much of a fan that you've played it all over. But be prepared that nothing new in Bannermen you will not find-more than three hundred times chewed old.
