The writing is hilarious, the voice acting well presented, the graphics are peak newgrounds and the levels are fun to go through, especially with friends.

"What the Hell ..?" Were my first Thoughts when the Intro of the Game took off. -But more on That later. Battleblock Theater is a 2D Jump & Run and comes from the same developer studio as the Game "Castle Crashers" and you can see that at every Turn: The somewhat strange Humor, the drawing style and the Affinity to choose crazy Cats as evil Adversaries (.. Now seriously, is this a Phobia?), are just some of the Points that reflect the Charm of both Games. Damn again, even the Main Menu cries out for: "HEY! Here!! THIS SPIEL IS OF US!! THE BEHEMOTH!! SCHAU DOCH MAL!!. " So The Graphic Style is cartoonish, colourful and deliberately greatly exaggerated on many Corners, while other Things convince with pure Simplicity. The Drawings are funny and beautiful to look at. The Characters, for example, are little more than a monochrome chibi body. The Head of the Body, however, is full of Humour and Creativity, in the simplest way possible-and there is a MENGE of them (!), so that you have a truly huge Selection of Frates with which to contest the Game. The Game principle is very simple: We control our Hero, whom we have previously equipped with appealing Fratt, Paint and two Weapons, in a 2D world and let him through a Course consisting of Platforms, Water, Clouds, laser beams, Life-weary cats and Dangerous Spines run and try to reach the Goal. Along the Way we find Gems and Ball balls of wool, with which we can either free other Inmates (this corresponds to the selectable Scratches, by the way ..) or use other Weapons in Defense against the evil Army of Cats. What did these Cats actually do to us? Well, that brings us to the Story of the Game, which is explained with the Intro: In Fact, we represent a play that seems to break a little to the Narrator and player of the Piece and Gets out of Hand. The Play is about Hatty Hattington and his Friends who set off on a Journey on a Ship (.. It's a Friend Ship .. Haha.. Do you understand?) -Here also the Storyteller, Will Stamper, Shows what he has on the Box. This Voice Actor is a God! -The Friends get into a cruel Storm, the Ship breaks apart, Friends fall from the Ship into the cold, deep black Sea-there was also such a Whale passing by. So WAAAAHHHHH .. And made the Whole thing incredibly terrifying-and I think there was a Shark there as well. The Ship ended up as a Wreck on a Prison Island, inhabited by the Prison Guards who, for whatever Reason, lock up innocents. And well .. Cats are. The Narrator of course accompanies you through the entire Piece. Um Game and makes it incredibly entertaining. The actual Gameplay, however, is also absolutely inviting you to Play-maybe it's even a bit too easy, because even the Difficulty "Error" can be played through well without getting any bigger Frustrations. I can recommend this Game to anyone who has already celebrated the Humour from Castle Crashers or just wants to have a relatively simple, lovingly designed Jump & Run for on the side. :)
