BATTLECREW Space Pirates reviews

Notice given during early access (14/02/2017): a promising game and rather fun whether alone or has several! The game is nice with a daily quest system (bounty), if you like 2D MOBA like Awesomenauts, this game is for you! It brings some fresh wind and knows how to stand out from other games of the type! Battlecrew may seem demanding in some game modes but it is actually easy to take in hand (keyboard-mouse/joystick). The only downside is that for now only 4 characters are available, but the game is in early access and other characters are expected so no panic! I highly recommend! Edit (17/02/2019): I wanted to return to the game 2 years after my initial criticism. It must be said that my opinion on it changed drastically. The game lost the entire community in the space of a few months. The reason? Bad Comm and questionable marketing choices. Indeed, the game was initially paid during early access, but at its official release it turns into free2play, or rather in free2pay. The implementation of microtransactions in a game still in development is very bad taste. In addition, those who bought the game beforehand are found with a F2P that offers you to buy skins in the store... It doesn't hurt! But again, we could go beyond this problem because the biggest in my opinion is the Comm ' which to completely messed up. I remember that the Community Manager at Dontnod eleven was really a nice person and listening to the players. As soon as we had a problem with the game, he handled it! The problem would be higher in the hierarchy, knowing that the Studio (formerly Hesaw) had just been bought by Dontnod, the development was based on fragile bases. The game was not able to make itself known, the mouth to ears will not be enough because the number of active players counted on the fingers of the hand. The difficulty of the game to form a community led to another major problem; budget restrictions. This is probably what explains the passage so brutal in the format F2P, which has made him speak badly with his system of tokens offering a limited number of games to the non-premium players (which was soon past due to its unpopularity). It must also be said that the number of characters (only 4) and modes of play (2 only) make the game can attractive, in 2-3 parts we had made the rounds. We were promised new playable characters but we never had one. Now the servers are comparable to a ghost town and the game seems to have been abandoned by the developers (the last update dating from July 2018)... It was a promising game that was lacking only an active community, because overall it was pretty good. This is why I do not recommend you to play Battlecrew unless you have several friends on hand. Hoping that the game will be resurrected one day, even though it is badly gone.
