Thank you to REBELLION for having put back into service this games I loved!
It's a pleasure to find a good PC games with fast and efficient keyboard commands. As already said in the preceding post it is a FPS/RTS with nice graphics (but that date the graphics possibilities in effect in 1998!) So if you prefer the graphics to the gameplay: go your way.
I was surprised to complain against the command that interrupted my mission for insubordination (I was in the process of securing my area of a Russian mortar instead of doing the reco asked) CQFD: immersion in the game succeeded.
I'm in for the 2nd installment, see 3 If REBELLION arrives to us to lay an excellent gameplay with the graphics of 2017 respecting the PC keyboard too often abused for the benefit of the console port and its gamepad!

Battlezone 98 Redux My Joy was great when I learned the REBELLION wants to make a Remake of one of my Favorite Games. How did I Yearn to get back into the Cockpit of my grizzly tank and chase Soviet Troops in their Vehicles from Moon, Mars or Venus as if the Cold War Had never ended.
After the first Hours of play, however, I was disillusioned as I had the Original Battlezone from 1998 with puffed-up Graphics in front of me, everything else was just like 1998.
Still, Battlezone is, And still was, a Classic for me and was ahead of its Time in 1998.
The Atmosphere for me is still second to none on The part of the USA or USSR, sitting in the Cockpit actively intervening in the Fight, pulling up my Base and assigning Orders to the Troops.
For those looking for a Mix of cockpit action paired with Base Buildup on distant Planets, Battlezone 98 Redux is just the thing, including the Addon (The Red Odyssey).

Absolutely awesome, how long have I missed this Game and now it's all at once back in revised Version.
You can build a Base in the Command & Conquer style with all sorts of Buildings such as a Vehicle Shipyard, Troops Barracks, Energy or raw Material Conveyors and Much more. The Whole thing takes place in a 3D Environment city, unlike Command & Conquer.
Large Maps or Maps on which there is a lot to discover make the whole thing interesting especially for Players with a Discovery Complex like me. The Action always takes place on alien Planets or Moons such as our Moon or Mars. Many Planets and Moons of our Solar System are represented.
You control the Whole Thing in your Base directly in which you either walk around there and Control everything or in which you get into a Vehicle and From the Cockpit everything builds rules and controls etc.
In a Battle, of course, you can also be at the forefront if you want to. Either you can take part in the Battle on foot or fight with you From The Cockpit of your Vehicle.
The environments or landscapes in which everything takes place are beautifully made for the Time when the Game was created and have lost none of their Charm today, especially in this revised version.
I find graphics sound and Gameplay technically all 1A, the only thing the Game still lacks are more Players for great Multiplayer battles.
I can really only recommend the Game and for this little Price it's really a Tip.
